Over 20 years of extensive experience in technology, strategy, outsourcing /

offshoring strategy, business transformation, application integration, J2EE/ .Net,

SOA, product development, 6 end to end SAP implementations, BPR/ QPR,

Program management, customer management and Big 4 consulting.

My work experience is with well known technology & big four consulting firms

namely GTECH, Bally Technologies, Sun Microsystems, Deloitte consulting,

PWC & Proxicom Inc.

My technology experience includes developing products based on n-tier

architecture, J2EE, .Net, and Web services/ SOA. The application integration

experience is with Sun Microsystems / SeeBeyond building the industry’s best

application integration suite (Sun SeeBeyond ICAN suite) with adapters for

various ERPs (SAP, Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, etc), various databases

(Oracle, SQL server, DB2, etc) and various protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS,

SOAP, etc). My eBusiness/ eCommerce experience is with Proxicom which

includes eBusiness consulting, website design / development & implementation

at CWT, Toyota Motors & PRIMEDIA.

My SAP consulting experience is working with Big 4 consulting firms namely

Deloitte & PWC to implement SAP in various companies in various industries

namely IBM Inc., Steelcase Inc, Intermec Inc., Modular Mining Inc, Agfa Inc, &

Crompton Greaves.

My post M&A integration experience is with Sun Microsystems (integration with

SeeBeyond from process to product strategy integration) & with Bally

Technologies integrating various domestic and international acquisitions.

I have also successfully established offshore development centers for Bally

Technologies & SeeBeyond Inc. I also have extensive experience working with

various outsourcing vendors namely Infosys, HCL, etc.

As far as educational background, I have PhD in Total Value-based Outsourcing,

MBA in Operations and Finance and BS in Electrical / Electronics Engineering. I

have published few papers on outsourcing in peer reviewed journals namely

Academy of Management & IRMA.

of Multi-sourcing Office: March 08 to Nov 09

Overall Responsibilities:

Part of Sr. management team with the responsibility of Research & Product

Development (software and hardware engineering), Quality Assurance and

Multi-Sourcing office.

Overall budget responsibility of app. $50M.

Responsibility of 500+ software developers, hardware engineers, architects,

QA engineers and documentation writers with teams across US and India

development centers.

Important Achievements:

Business transformation by redesigning point of access hardware products &

central system products suite, implementing new deployment models,

reengineering sourcing strategy & executing vendor improvement plan,

achieved better product quality, better productivity and significant cost

savings across point of access and central systems products.

Total saving over $25M per year.

Bally Technologies Inc., Vice President Systems Engineering, Quality

Assurance, Documentation and Program Management: Dec ‘05 to Feb ‘08

Overall Responsibilities:

Part of executive management team in Systems division with responsibility of

Systems Engineering, Vendor Management, Presales Support and Level 3

Customer Support.

Overall budget of app. $30M.

Full responsibility of team of 350+ software developers, architects, QA testers

and documentation writers with teams across US and India development

centers.

Important Achievements:

Business transformation by completely rewriting the old Transbasic products

in J2EE/ .NET framework, re-engineering SDLC process with more focus on

requirements definition, unit testing and QA processes, improved

productivity of teams, delivery of product to market and in turn increased

customer satisfaction.

Established offshore development center and in less than a year, redesigned/

re-engineered products to latest J2EE / .Net framework.

Sun Microsystems Inc.(SeeBeyond division), Director of Engineering, Program

Management, Process Management & Vendor Management: Jun ‘01- Dec ‘05

Overall Responsibilities in SeeBeyond Division:

Full responsibility of managing 300+ vendor / Partner relationships.

Full responsibility of 200+ developers, QA engineers, writers, product and

program managers at both US and Indian offshore development center.

Full product management responsibility of 300+ adapters for various ERPs

(SAP, Oracle Applications, PeopleSoft, etc), various databases (Oracle, SQL

server, DB2, etc) and various protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, SOAP, etc).

Full responsibility of post M&A integration of products and processes for Sun

Microsystems and SeeBeyond Inc.

Process management responsibility includes defining new processes, training

& rollouts, auditing and maintaining the same at both the development

centers.

Full responsibility of interfacing with external auditors for process

compliance.

Business transformation using successful setup of India offshoring

development center and rewrite of products, achieving better product

quality, better productivity and significantly improved customer satisfaction.

Negotiated and established cost effective partnerships with various software

As Strategy and Delivery Director, managed eBusiness strategy, redesigned the

owners offerings and implementation for Toyota and Lexus. For Carlson-

Wagonlit Travel defined and implemented the new eBusiness strategy. Designed

and implemented B2C eCommerce site for PRIMEDIA Inc.
