Reporting to the CPO. Tasked with reorganizing the area to achieve World Class results. Responsible for the strategies, planning
and implementation of the global negotiations & sourcing activities of Indirect and Capital purchasing in all regions (North
America, Latin America, Asia Pacific, Western and Eastern Europe / Middle East / Africa and Corporate).
Reorganized the Indirect and Capital area in 6 Global/Regional Procurement Commodity Councils.

Reporting to the CPO. Promoted to this new position to maximize purchasing performance and enforce Line of Sight of the regional
purchasing activities for a better alignment with Global Purchasing. Responsible for the Operations (HR/departmental expenses),
Financial reports (historical and projected costs, productivity reports), Continuous Improvement System areas of Global Purchasing
and for the link/alignment/results of the purchasing area of the 5 different Strategic Business Units (NAT, LA, AP, WE, EEMEA).
Designed and implemented the “Regionalization” of Latin America and Europe Purchasing activities.
Actively participated in the renegotiation of the outsourcing contracts of Purchasing ($ 10 M) with IBM (EU) and ICG (NAT).
Implemented and shared best practices with the regions to improve usage and results on e-auctions. Results using this tool
increased year over year and in 2007, we achieved savings of $ 26 M in the Indirect area.
Developed and implemented global purchasing standard policies, performance scorecards and financial reports.

Tasked with organizing and integrating the Purchasing activities of the Tire business and the EPD (Engineering Products Division)
facilities in the Latin America region.
Integrated the EPD purchasing activities into the tire team in 6 months.
Standardized key procedures (including payments to suppliers) and systems (PRISM/Avantis) along the region.
Auctions with Rubber Network.Com were drastically improved, putting us ahead of the competition in the region and around the
Goodyear world. Increased indirect savings up to 5 % of the total spend.
Developed and performed Competitive Analysis that was used to develop the Purchasing strategies in the region.
Implemented a regional cross functional quality team that recovered 100 % of Corrective Action Requests from raw material
suppliers (non-compliance issues) and drastically reduced raw material quality problems.

Reporting directly to the President of the SBU with a dotted line to the CPO. Relocated in August 2000 to Corporate Headquarters
and promoted to this position to reorganize the Indirect area and improve visibility of Indirect Spend. Responsible for all purchasing
activities of direct and indirect materials and also for the raw materials inventories of all manufacturing facilities in the region.
Improved regional visibility of the Indirect spend by standardizing the subcategories of the spend and developing a regional
spend database (extracting information from Accounts Payable) to focus our sourcing strategies and to aggregate volumes for
negotiations.
Organized 5 cross-functional Procurement Commodity Councils for Indirect spend in the region
Implemented a working capital improvement program that realized important RM inventory reduction (15 days) and improved
payables by 10 M during the first year and 20 M during the second one.
The 4 different Purchasing departments in Brazil were integrated into one which drastically improved the spend visibility and the
savings (Six Sigma project).

Responsible for the development and implementation of the regional RM purchasing business plans, for the strategies and tactics to

Started a regional aggregation and negotiation process that drastically reduced the RM costs in the region - 30 % EBIT
savings in 4 years - turning LA region into the lowest RM cost region for 3 consecutive years.
Raw Material’s payment terms were drastically improved and standardized along the region.

Recorded historical lowest finished good inventories and maintained the good trend in RM inventories.
Reorganized the finished good warehouse activities for better attention to the end of the month deliveries.
Reorganized the distribution lines to the south of the country, reducing cost and minimizing the delivery time.
Developed a follow up system for imported tires, a 3 month rolling planning ticket for manufacturing and a forecast accuracy
