Manufacturer of premium Carbide end mills, burrs, and drills. Oversaw all facets of the

Manufacturing operation and the facility. I reported directly to the owner who lived out of state.

• Implemented Lean Manufacturing resulting in: Reduced set up times, Established a

supermarket for 80% of finished goods, Increased production from 297,000 tools to

325,000 annually, Implemented TPM on all 28 precision grinders

• Developed capacity plans and strategies to support 20% growth in sales.

• Led a $2.5 million Capital Improvement plan to purchase new CNC machinery and

inspection equipment. Directed the purchase negotiations, delivery, and installation of

this equipment on time and below budget.

Directed all manufacturing, financial and quality functions of the 150 employee Harley Davidson

Focused Factory.

Kaizen events which yielded 25%+ improvements.

unionized hourly associates.

• Implemented visual pull systems / Kanbans to provide fabricated material to assembly.
