Engineering Doctorate (EngD.) - The University of Warwick, England (2004 – 2009)
Project Title: “Sustainable Solutions for an Unsustainable World: Innovative Advancements for
Reducing Polymer Waste”.
Program summary:
• Project evolved from initial materials science study to incorporate all aspect of sustainability
and sustainable development.
• Significant data identification, collection and subsequent quantitative and qualitative analysis
required throughout and relevant research methodologies and techniques were employed to
develop rigor behind final proposals.
• Developed and project managed the sunflower cell phone concept. The rationale behind the
project was to drive consumer interest and stimulate discussion regarding potential for
biopolymer uptake and usage.
• Industrial and academic knowledge was progressed through WMG’s ‘Integrated Graduate
Development Scheme’. An educational program developed for upper management at
industrial customers including Jaguar Land Rover, BAE Systems and British Nuclear Fuels.
• Completed week-long residential MBA modules studying engineering and non-engineering
topics including Operations Strategy for Industry, Improving Personal Performance, Financial
& Accounting Systems, Technology Management and Legal Aspects of Global Business.
