(TOPPS) to correct a processing flaw in the pharmacy claims payment system.

System contained on-line programs which read and wrote to both VSAM files and DB2 databases

Completed complex testing with the DBA assigned to project to assure that the corrections made

to the software would not impact the speed of the system

Worked closely with a senior tester to make sure the changes flowed through the system

correctly and did not negatively impact any of the other subsystems

Other duties writing and reviewing program specifications, coding program changes and testing

program changes

IT Applications Senior Systems Analyst May 2004 – July 2008

While at this assignment worked on several different teams, from quality assurance testing to EDI

upgrades to brand new system development. Functioned as team lead during upgrade of EDI

software. As a member of the QAS team, served as system administrator for the Serena

Changeman software installation.

Developed and wrote real-time back end process responsible for checking the validity of a

driver’s car insurance. Interfaced the mainframe with the Web so that states could get the

information on a real time basis. The SLA for response was 2 seconds

Developed formatting software to transmit driver insurance information to the various states

Was the lead responsible for testing EDI 3.1 for the new Z/OS 1.8 upgrade, which also included

developing testing procedures for all applications using EDI 3.1. Led team of two senior

Senior consultant on team tasked with formatting white page listings for a new Oracle-driven

directory system. In addition, worked with thirty-five different listing vendors to format their listing

allowed the end users to format the data.

Created many programs and job streams to format outside vendor’s data. These new programs

where written using COBOL 390 and all of the new features that it contains

Senior consultant on team tasked with upgrading a payroll system to Y2K compliancy. Two

month window to make the system compliant. Responsible for five junior consultants, which

included giving assignments and tracking progress on those assignments. Completed clean-up

work put on hold because of the Y2K work after New Year.

Redesigned key components in the payroll system to significantly reduce the number of on-line

screens required to access the payroll system

Created an automated inventory system of software versions used companywide
