and CapEx. Supplier rationalization resulting in 33% cost savings, $2 million in realized savings and a
reduction in suppliers by 25%.
• Leadership role. Developed purchasing strategies/policies/procedures, negotiated strategic
agreements, managed suppliers, lead inventory management team, reduced costs, simplified
operations, consolidated and collaborated as needed with marketing and sales departments. Project
management lead for new 40,000 square foot, $1.5 million facility build out and relocation.

refrigeration systems. In charge of all raw materials, MRO, and office supplies purchases in addition to
managing the shipping/receiving department. Analyzed changes and supply issues in materials to reduce
costs and improve quality. Negotiated favorable pricing with suppliers. Managed 1 employee.
Commodity management. Produced 4% YOY cost savings on external spend of $3 million, despite raw

material prices rising by 40%, through supplier rationalization and blanket purchase orders. MRP –
worked with engineering department to provide them with daily material pricing to keep their quotes
accurate. Updated pricing and inventory info in Shop Pro system and checked BOM’s for accuracy.
Leadership role. Promoted increased employee communication and efficiency between machine shop

and valve departments through daily standup meetings. Revamped order flow between the
departments and reduced errors and redundancy by 98%.
• Change management. Performed cost analysis on most commonly machined part and determined it
was more cost effective to have the part forged externally than machined internally. The result was a
cost savings of 20%, $50,000 annually, plus increased productivity of machine shop employees no
longer having to perform this duty.
• Warehouse re-engineering. Trained shipping/receiving department to pull parts for machining and valve
orders. Result was increased productivity and reduced downtime.
