Project Manager

Managed the development and enhancement of Internet and intranet applications; primarily using

Java and Oracle; interfacing with SAP, Lotus Notes/Domino, Documentum, and other internal

systems. Applied Agile methods such as user driven stories and test first development.

Planned projects from initiation through implementation, including decommission of legacy systems. Kept

accurate budgets, forecasts, and change control. Served as the primary liaison between the

development team and the client organizations for projects under my control.

Managed the redesign of some of the company’s public facing web properties, Monsanto.com and

AsgrowAndDekalb.com; along with experts in usability, graphic design, development, and infrastructure;

incorporated new third party tools such as Google Maps and FeedRoom.com (video).

Implemented the first InfoPath workflow application in our new SharePoint environment, which tracks the

fulfillment of genetic reference materials to regulatory agencies around the world.

Lead the design and implementation of the company’s Global Human Rights Program database, which

provides for communication, training, and monitoring throughout the supply chain. Attended the global

human rights champions’ conference in Costa Rica, where I demonstrated progress against the roadmap,

collaborated on new requirements, and established upcoming milestones. Introduced the importance of

relationships that proved very helpful throughout development.

Maintained a portfolio of Wireless/Wireline projects for the Project Management Office, facilitating

inter project coordination between the client and its affiliates across the country. Managed cost,

Took over a multi million dollar project that was not making progress. Worked to establish specific goals

MARITEL, INC., St. Louis, MO 2000 – 2001

Director of Operations

Created the new Operations organization for a domestic wireless telecommunications provider.

Gathered diverse business requirements. Conducted the selection of Billing and Customer Care, Call

Center, Customer Relationship Management, and Trouble Ticketing solutions.

Drafted statements of work; negotiated contracts; managed implementations in coordination with other

enterprise development activities; reduced costs and increased efficiencies through service level

agreements, defined business processes, and standard operating procedures.

Managed the integration of Operational Support Systems with the new VoIP network telephony, radio,

Specified and managed the development of web based applications used to provide unique services to

FCC, US Coast Guard, and the National Weather Service.

Responsible for all IT services in and between the offices in New York City, St. Louis, New Orleans, Biloxi

and Gulfport; including communications, LAN, WAN, Internet, desktop, and support.

Made the strategic decision to move call center operations from Gulfport, MS to a new call center created

Managed the lifecycles of Billing and Customer Care software used by telecommunications resellers

in a Service Bureau environment. Functionality includes Customer Service, Order Entry, Provisioning,

Developed and implemented applications for Fortune 500 clients as a member of the internal

development staff. Key contributions include a tabbed user interface, in character mode, that

For a major chemical company designed and developed a Safety Tracking System to replace an
