• Responsible for coding/execution of system level validation/verification black box testing. Employed a
VAX/VMS to develop flight simulation software to run on an IBM PC in a lab environment. Performed
initial FAA formal certification testing to verify/validate operating software and system requirements in
which procedures, results and corrective actions were under assurance control.

Responsible for the development of 4,600 line of code functional test software from start to finish on the

LTX Automatic Test Equipment. Software was developed by using Digital Signal Processing
techniques to test processor based digital/linear printed circuit boards.
Responsible for the design/test/code of calibration program, test strategies, solutions and interface hardware to
the station. Modified existing software to become compatible software for upgraded test station.
Proposed ATE digital testing for 40 MIPS 'Build In Self Test' firmware strategies and requirements. Used
references such as MIL STD 2165 and Corporate Standards for testability reports during New Product
Introduction.
Trained production technicians and developed test procedures such as Test Set Instructions. Provided test
engineering support to manufacturing test engineers, product engineers and quality engineers.
Applied for a new Canadian patent in manufacturing test technology.

cross connect multiplexed system.
Performed product validation/verification based on software/hardware design spec product spec and by
interpreting Bell Communication Research documents. Interfaced with designers in the lab during unit testing
phase. Responsible for monitoring prototype system evaluation in the lab.
Identified hardware/software failures due to fault insertions and abnormal stress operating conditions. Also,
responsible for documents such as system test plans, test procedures and problem reports. Chaired weekly
meetings to identify and resolve integration problems.
Developed environmental test plan for digital cross connect product. Worked with manufacturing test engineers
before products were commercially available.
TEST SET DESIGN ENGINEER
Boeing – Maintenance Ground Operation Systems February 1984 – May 1986
Responsible for design, test, conceptual study and specification of electrical/electronic manual test sets

for systems test on the ground and black box testing in the shop.
Special projects included a test box to simulate the fire detection/extinguishing system of the B757/767 airplane
and analog/digital stall warning guidance system for the B727/737 airplane. This included testing of the angle
of airflow sensors and flap position transmitter using ARINC and Being internal documents.
Developed test boxes for B737-300 stall warning computer using Fluke 9010 troubleshooter. Interfaced with
lab technicians during prototype testing and mechanics during systems testing. Worked with drafters to assure
that design, test set ups and certification procedures were correctly documented.
Awarded Boeing paid 1-week training opportunity, anywhere in the United States for any training courses.
