I would like to present myself as a candidate for the position you posted.
I have been in Landscape Architecture for over 30 years and love this
profession with a passion. I enjoy the problem solving, the design
opportunities, the graphics and the management of my team of
horticulturists, graphic illustrators and draftsmen in the office. Being
able to go on site and problem solve or assess the situation is a great
bonus.
I also enjoy being a project team leader and presenting projects for city
and county design reviews. This work requires the coordination of a primary
team of Architects, Illustrators, Civil Engineers, and Draftsmen. As a
project team leader and Primary Landscape Architect, I have been
responsible for projects from inception, including design, construction
documents, cost estimations, construction management, material selection
and placement, printing coordination and final presentation to various
boards/commissions that are reviewing the jobs.
I have created designs and details for a wide range of projects including;
residential and estate planning, subdivision layouts and designs, model
homes, individual commercial sites, shopping centers, resorts, and business
parks.
I am known for my meticulous project management and people skills, as well
as having a good hand in design and graphic presentations. The firms I have
worked for have received various awards and accreditations for my designs.
