successful completion. Also responsible for designing the architecture of
the product. Designs are represented using UML.
. Was responsible for managing a team of 11 developers for successful
delivery of Peoplesoft 9 Time and Labor product.
. Was responsible for managing a team of developers in US and a team in
India to carry out enhancement and bug fixes for the Time and Labor

Designed an Object-Oriented architecture for the product and was

. Designed the architecture for the AICC/SCORM compliance of the ELM
product. Prepared the Technical Design document and developed the modules
using Peopletools and Javascript. Developed prototypes using Peopletools
and Java. Was responsible for ensuring AICC and SCORM certification of

Senior Java Developer - Teamscape Corporation (Burlingame, CA)
. Architected and implemented the development of an Object-Oriented
Connector Framework to interface with third party content providers. Lead
a Team of three engineers to deliver the implementation. The Connector
Framework involved EJBs deployed on Weblogic Server 5.1. and the design
involved Design Patterns.
. Was responsible for designing the integration of Teamscape LMS with
Centra Symposium webcast product using XML web services.
. Worked on the Training Program and Certification module. This project
involved design and coding in JSPs, servlets, Session EJBs, Entity EJBs
and Oracle 8i SQL and deployed on Weblogic 5.1 server.
Was responsible for ensuring deployment of the application by interfacing
Weblogic application server with IIS and Iplanet Webserver on Windows NT
and
Solaris 8 platform.
. Ported the Teamscape Learning application from Weblogic 5.1 deployment to
Weblogic 6.1 deployment.

. Designed and implemented the core platform for the messaging software. It
involved designing the distributed JINI and RMI architecture and
implementing
the Jini services like Event Services and agent services which formed
the core
Collaborative Messaging platform.
. Designed and implemented the supporting services using Java 1.2, servlets
to
incorporate arbitrary messaging formats like Meeting Planner, Poll
etc. which are
components of the Collaborative Messaging software.
. Lead a team of engineers to develop the Collaborative
Toolset. The Collaborative
toolset is a set of tools which work on XML data to produce the
required content
pages required to support generic message formats. I was responsible
for the
design and development of the product. XML parsing was carried out
using a DOM
parser.
Project: Mightymail (Web based email system)
Designed and developed a Session Management module for the application.
The management interface used Servlets for connecting to EJB based
management components and also interfaced using JDBC with the backend
Oracle database server. JMQ based interface allowed for interaction
between web servers.
. Designed and developed Session transfer feature. This feature was used to
transfer live sessions using RMI to another load balanced web server
whenever
one webserver had to be shut down for maintenance. This feature allowed
an
user to seamlessly exist on any webserver. Through JMQ communication
between
webservers, transfer of sessions through RMI was coordinated.
. Designed and developed Tracking modules for the Mightymail system.
Tracking was used for business revenue calculation as well as to gather
performance metrics. Tracking was achieved through callback mechanism and
tracking data was asynchronously gathered into the Oracle database for
reporting.
. Designed and developed a module for providing single login for NBCi's
Clubs,
Chat and Mightymail product. This was achieved by providing a JINI
Service interface for each of the product and providing a single JINI
login service.

Kwanzoo.com (Web 2.0 company) (1.5 years part-time)
Kwanzoo is developing a web 2.0 application for the online trivia
enthusiast. Was responsible for the initial architecture, choice of
technologies and prototype for the project. Used Spring Framework, Spring
MVC, Hibernate and MySQL. Developed many AJAX-based JSP pages for the UI
and integrated with the backend using DWR libraries. Was responsible for
training other team members on Spring framework and AJAX technology.
Store Inventory Monitor for a local retail store (6 months)
This is a micro-ERP module developed in ASP.NET using C#. It employs web
services to link multiple store databases with the warehouse database so as
to get accurate count of store stock in the warehouse. Automatic nightly
batch jobs in the store and warehouse communicate through the web services
to get transaction data and calculate the store sales for the day. Numerous
reports help the warehouse administrator to place order for items to be
supplied to the stores each day. Was responsible for the entire
architecture, coding and deployment of the application.
