. Contributed to the combining of the separate East and West operating
companies to use a common Freight Processing system. Converted FedEx
Freight West from its own custom written, Tandem-based Freight Processing
system to the FedEx Freight East custom-written, IBM-based system.
. Designed, coded and implemented a new system for providing exception
processing for special invoices (Past Due, Corrected, Balance Due, etc.)
on a customer by customer basis. This allows the business to better meet
the customer's billing requirements.
. Analyzed, designed and implemented modifications for printing invoices in
US Dollars, Canadian Dollars or Mexican Pesos to allow the addition of
two new business units located in Canada and Mexico.

. Developed multi-step TACL jobs to extract data from the Tandem
mainframe and transfer it via FTP to another platform for processing
by 3rd Party Payroll, Accounts Payable and General Ledger programs.
. Resolved several legacy system program issues after they had been
analyzed by other developers without success.
. Lowered processing time on one program from 8 hours to 5 minutes by
changing the logic to utilize an existing index.
. Streamlined the process for implementing a company-wide general rate
increase. Documented the procedures, programs and jobs used to
increase efficiency in future rate increases.
