Directing all aspects of logistics for large and small firms in consumer
goods and food, I improved performance and efficiency while reducing

distributors and retailers, including Versacold, Ikea and Birdseye, I

Selected Accomplishments
Ramped up capacity to accommodate new big box stores. Ikea was increasing
number of US locations by 15% and needed to boost distribution/warehousing
resources. Collaborating with two 3PL providers, conducted forecasting,
planning and scheduling. Combined existing distribution routes to minimize
additional freight costs.
Played key role in successful warehouse management system (WMS) launch.
Versacold needed to replace its aging WMS platform. Collaborated with IT,
as well as internal and client users, to define needs. Installed and tested
pilot system. Conducted user training. After refining and optimizing
system, deployed platform across multiple sites.
Turned around underperforming 3PL operation. Key Versacold unit failed to
meet labor cost and cycle time targets. Developed automated tool with data
sharing capability, enabling all stakeholders to participate in resource
planning/tracking. Significantly cut cycle time and late shipments while
optimizing labor allocation and costs.
Improved productivity and compliance while cutting costs. Productivity and
sanitation at RLB were below par. Implemented aggressive improvement
initiative, developing Best Practices and training/coaching programs.
Boosted throughput while cutting labor costs 8%. Improved sanitation,
exceeding regulatory requirements.
Automated order and distribution tracking, slashing turnover cycle.
Frigoscandia suffered excessive order fulfillment delays and errors.
Identified manual process to be root cause. Working with IT, developed
automated tracking system. Reduced order processing time 80% while cutting
errors to near zero and eliminating most delays.
Directed seamless post-merger WMS integration. Versacold acquisition of CSI
required integration of WMS platforms. Coordinated with IT and both
internal and external stakeholders to migrate merged entities to common
platform. Completed migration ahead of schedule and under budget with no
service interruptions.
Career History
Manager, Day Operations, RLB Distributors, recruited in 2009 to improve
performance. Direct day-to-day shift operations for $31M wholesale food
distribution firm. Managed shipping, receiving, sanitation, safety,
staffing, scheduling and quality control. Drove major performance,
implementing Best Practices and training programs to boost performance and
compliance.
Ikea US Coordinator, Frigoscandia Logistics, $438M subsidiary of $13B
Posten Norge AS, 2007-2009. Directed US third-party logistics operations
for client Ikea, serving 37 stores and two distribution centers. Managed
EDI implementation across all US locations. Recruited from Versacold after
building strong rapport in provider role.

Rose through the ranks at Versacold and predecessors, ultimately managing
key northeastern regional operation for $663M 3PL provider. Served major
clients including Wakefern Foods/Shoprite, Kings, Birdseye Foods and
