Project Construction Coordinator
Company representative in preparation and coordination of all construction activities during the
installation, start-up and commissioning phases of a new $180 million dollar vivarium & research
facility. Responsible for coordination work in resolving construction issues in a timely manner
that ensures the work is completed safely, with excellent quality and on schedule for completion
of the project. Provided support and coordination of all activities and engineering design issues
between Pfizer Company and the contracted Construction Management Company.
Monsanto Company (Independent Project Management Consultant), 2000 to 2003 & 2005 to 2007
Project Manager, AG Engineering
Responsible for managing construction projects for Monsanto’s Agricultural Engineering
Division at various corn and soybean production plants located throughout the Midwestern
United States. Successfully managed the construction and startup of seed packaging equipment,
conveying lines, and seed pack filling systems for corn and soybean at Monsanto Company
production plants. Direct responsibility for project execution while leading teams to accomplish
specific objectives in a given period and within allocated cost. Accountable for assigned projects’
scope of work, budgets, bid packages, schedules, cost estimates, and writing capital appropriation
requests. Project control included managing/approval of all expenditures and keeping projects on
schedule. Projects were completed on time, within scope, and below project cost.
Managed building renovation project encompassing over 16,000 sq. ft. consisting of turning
existing warehouse into new research laboratories and temperature controlled testing rooms.
Project Manager for 12,000 sq. ft. pre-engineered office, warehouse, and machinery storage
building. Responsible for managing design, schedules, purchasing, construction contractors, and
subcontractors to successfully complete projects within targeted cost and scheduled deadlines.

MEMC Electronic Materials Inc. St. Peters, Missouri, 1995-1998
Project Manager
Project/Construction Manager for a 6,000 sq. ft. off-site training, development, and meeting
center. Managed the design, budgets, schedules, and coordination of all field activities. Project
successfully completed under budget and ahead of scheduled grand opening ceremonies.
Participated in the negotiations with property owner in the lease and rental agreement of the new
training facility.
Project Manager for two new 14,000 sq. ft. and 9,000 sq. ft. office/conference room expansions.
Lead Project Coordinator responsible for directing teams including customer interface, managing
outside design engineering firm, construction team, and scheduling the relocation of over three

Managed facilities division, maintenance and repairs of four buildings with over two million
square feet of laboratory, pilot plants and office space. Directed multi-craft maintenance
department of 27 technicians in day-to-day activities. Managed all GMP and SOP preventative
maintenance programs, ensuring compliance with federal regulations and procedures.
Established construction/facilities department’s five year long range capital project plan and
facility modifications forecast. Developed and managed $6.7M operating budget. Prepared
project estimates, mechanical/HVAC design, proposals, schedules, and contracts for all capital
project work.
Manager, Maintenance, Repairs, & Construction 1981-1987
Selected by corporate management to represent Monsanto as Project Start-up Manager for new
Plant Science Research Facility with a project cost of $200M. Received Corporate Achievement
Award for successful completion of project and relocation of 1,200 plant science personnel to
new Corporate Research Facility.
Project Manager for complete renovation of a research building encompassing over 30,000 square
feet. Successfully managed project installation of $2.4M mainframe computer rooms. Fast track
project was completed well under projected budget. Early completion resulted in cost savings of
over $200K to the company.
