KEY ACCOMPLISHMENTS

. Successfully implemented change management to drive cost savings of 2.1

million to turn around Surface Technologies business from loss of 1.6

million to a positive EBIT of 0.5 million in one year.

. Drove the change from an industrial surface coating house to an

aerospace approved business; including Nadcap, PWA, GE, and Rolls Royce

approvals, by implementing new quality methods, training protocols, and

upgrading procedures while maintaining an industrial base of customers.

Sales increased 300%.

. Developed and led the coating support function/operation in a multiple

process company to drive a One-Stop Shop for customers, by liaisoning

multiple departments to provide complimentary services, which achieved

a sales increase of 5 million per year.

. Created and built a strong EHS management team and led efforts to

turnaround a site with multiple Notices of Violation, in danger of

incurring major fines with the CT DEP. Established the site as an

example of how to implement and maintain regulatory compliance.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

BASF Catalysts LLC, East Windsor, CT 2003 - 12/2009

ST (Surface Technologies) provides HVOF (High Velocity Oxygen Fuel),

Plasma, Powder, Wire and Twin Wire Arc coatings along with Heat Treat,

Aerospace Painting, Chemical Stripping of coatings, Shot Peen, NDT, and FAA

Overhaul and Repair services. Sites located in CT, MA and SC.

Site Manager - ST (Director of Operations) (2005 - 2009)

Accountable for directing the operations group at three remote sites. Key

areas of responsibility included P&L, production, quality, facilities and

maintenance, purchasing, and logistics. Functioned as a member of the

Senior Leadership Team.

. Successfully led the integration of the CCN strategic business unit

from Engelhard to BASF insuring no negative customer impacts. Served

as a member of the Americas' Team integration committee.

. Led and managed initial approvals of ST and CCN strategic business unit

in Responsible Care and RC Management Systems (American Chemistry

Council EHS programs ISO 14001) by implementing roadmap, manuals and

procedures and initiating training programs at the site and corporate

level. Resulted in a successful first audit of sites and corporate

headquarters.

. Implemented Lean/Six Sigma in ST and Catalysts and helped drive it

within BASF global businesses resulting in cost savings of 1.3 million

annually within CCN strategic business unit.

engineering and customer service at site. Key areas of responsibility

Leadership Team.

. Achieved a critical turnaround for a site which was slated to be

closed. Engaged personnel in process improvements, initiated Lean/Six

Sigma methodologies, and stimulated the workforce to become the best

performing site in the ST division, improving EBIT by 20%. My

performance resulted in promotion to Ste Manager - ST.

through establishment of aerospace quality standards, approvals and

procedures, leading to annual sales increases of 6 million dollars.
