Planned and managed outsource supplier projects; coordinated production
line move from in-house production lines to cost-effective local source
manufacturers. Scheduled and organized outsourced manufacturing between
various manufacturers.
Selected Contributions:
- Developed and implemented supplier business plans focused on meeting
delivery objectives; plans aided in achieving 97% on-time delivery by
requested date, and 100% delivery within +/- 5 days.
- Led transition of 2 internal production lines to outsourced
manufacturing and 3 existing outsourced production lines to low-cost
suppliers; successfully met target goals of reducing manufacturing
costs by 15%, thereby achieving $15M annual savings on manufacturing
costs during a 3-year period.
- Created rapid production manufacturing program that enabled
engineering to receive prototype machines parts within 4-days, and
prototype parts requiring special coatings/plating within 7-days.
- Played key role in implementing supplier GPA; met target objectives to
decrease costs between 3% and 5% each year for the first 3-years on
new fabricated parts and between 1% and 3% each year for the life of
the part.
Program Manager/ Product Engineer (1996 to 2003)
Orchestrated all facets of new product development projects for specific
customer production solutions and new product family introductions. Led
cross-functional teams throughout all phases, from design concept to
production. Planned and coordinated development release strategy and
timelines, ensuring timely completion. Defined and met all
interdepartmental requirements and deliverables. Established and maintained
collaborative relationships with supplier base; teamed with suppliers to
develop capabilities and technologies to meet project technical
requirements.
Selected Contributions:
- Led 12 new product introductions at numerous external customer beta
sites; efforts facilitated acquisition of more than 10 strategic
accounts for new penetration in Europe, Asia, and the US.
- Reduced cycle times 25% by integrating a Zero Defects team within
product development; strategy successfully assessed program functions,
established manufacturing / field requirements, and devised effective
solutions to accelerate product release cycles.
- Spearheaded 3 new product development programs; collaborated with
diverse personnel to develop specifications and prepare evaluation
criteria.
Technical Support Supervisor (1995 to 1996)

installation time by 50%.
- Successfully decreased new product introduction by 2-months; prepared
training courses, developed product release documents, and conducted
initial courses for instructor training certification.
Senior Technical Support Engineer (1992 to 1995)
Held full accountability for overseeing beta site evaluations and first-in-
region training for new product introductions. Produced detailed program
schedules and standardized procedures in order to optimize system
performance. Provided support to engineering and customer service groups;
installed new manufacturing equipment into customer production lines with
minimal disruption to manufacturing operations. Delivered first-in-region
training sessions and qualified instructors regarding new system
operations.
Selected Contributions:
- Performed in-depth analysis and evaluations at customer sites;
developed product upgrade packages that increased system performance
in several key areas including efficiency, failures, and safety,
thereby meeting customer requirements.
- Developed standardized installation procedures and troubleshooting
guides for both existing and new product lines; new procedures met
ANSI, CE, S2-93, and ISO compliance standards.
- Championed creation of preliminary training courses for pre-release
