Project Manager (1998 - 2009)

Develop and lead psychometric research lab and image science consulting

resources serving HP's global imaging businesses. Manage all facets of an

autonomous business within a business.

Developed local team into a world-class psychometrics research and consulting

group recognized by leading competitors as ten years ahead in methodologies

and capabilities.

Championed and focused photo image quality improvement in HP's imaging

businesses that placed products in a leadership position year after year.

Delivered $50 million in goods and services annually at an internal cost of

$1 million.

Improved productivity ten-fold while reducing costs by more than 30%.

Program Manager (1996-1998)

Lead and facilitate cross-functional, cross-organizational team to develop

new printer platform. Align and focus globally dispersed multi-division

objectives, resources and technologies to successfully deliver innovative

complex print mechanism architecture into products.

Piloted program management concepts and techniques that became the de-facto

company-wide product development management methodology.

Managed and coordinated the development of new platform architecture that was

the forerunner of the company's line of B-size professional photo printers.

reduction in material and assembly costs.

Engineering Services Manager - Managed model shop, PC design, project

coordination, and CAD/CAM implementation services driving cost out through

reduction in design turnaround time and successful implementation of

technology resources.

Facilities Manager - Managed construction and operation of a Class 100 clean

room that had a key role in the development and utilization of thin film

technology in inkjet print head R&D and production.

Environmental Engineer - Designed, specified, awarded, and oversaw the

construction of over 20 ultrapure water and waste treatment facilities across

the US for HP.

Application Research Chemist - At Diamond Shamrock Corporation developed and

implemented ion exchange processes used in ultrapure water production,

uranium mining, nuclear waste treatment, heavy metals recovery, pulp mill

effluent treatment...

Led development of Columbia Springs Environmental Education Center, a

partnership of seven government agencies, into a non-profit educational

resource serving 10,000 students annually. Corporate board chairman for the

organization's first eight years.

Led and championed the development and implementation of hand's-on science

for "all kid's, everyday" in the Battle Ground School District. This grew

into an Educational Service District 112 program that is a national model.

Designed and facilitated development program that transitioned HP

manufacturing from a two shift/five day structure to 24/7 with a highly

engaged and supportive workforce.

Brought together, facilitated, and forged the partnership of multiple

businesses and school districts into the Columbia River Education Workforce

Council.
