> Payroll Automation System (PAS)

State Farm Insurance is one of the largest insurance companies serving

people all over America. Payroll automation system was an in-house

product that was developed to automate the functions and activities of

employee's services. The main application gets executed at the Head-

office and networked to every Corporate and City office such that they

had real time access to the application remotely. This application was

used to maintain employee information, calculate the number of hours

worked by an employee, deduct taxes, track sick leaves and vacation

days and keep up to date with tax law changes. This software consists

of four modules i.e. employee's pay information, sick and vacation

days, tax information and allowances/deductions. I was involved in

System testing of the project. The application was developed in two-

tier architecture.
