including domestic and offshore teams developing
embedded and server products using Linux, VxWorks, C,
C++ and Java (J2EE). Dual role of technical
management and project management.
Project Management
. Managed cross-functional teams consisting of
software and hardware engineering, manufacturing,
product management, marketing, QA, and technical
publications.
. Responsible for planning, estimation, and metrics
analysis across the full project lifecycle.
Utilized PMI standards to plan and track software
releases: Project Charters, Project Plans, MS-
Project Schedules and Status Reports to control
projects and report accurate status to Senior
Management and stakeholders via dashboard
presentations.

projects including 8 development and QA engineers.
. Mentored other project managers.
Functional Management
. Managed development, sustaining and QA for a Cable
Modem Provisioning server (DNS,
DHCP, TFTP, Syslog, ToD, MySQL, LDAP, SOAP, SNMP,
SSL, Kerberos, Linux).
. Led teams developing SNMP and EMS developing
network management for an IP router and a Cable
Modem Provisioning server
. Managed a remote team developing Switched Digital
Video (Linux, C++, Corba)
. Managed a Linux development group of 3 engineers.
Created groups for automated testing and release engineering (PVCS,
Clearcase /Clearquest).
Managed offshore development in India and China

. Staffed group 17 Engineers/Contractors. Formed 5
development teams with project leads.
. Led development through release of PowerPC-based
ISDN and Frame Relay routers.
. Subsequently managed the release of additional 16
and 400 port dial-in router platforms.

IPX project lead
1995 - 1996
Participated as one of the core group of engineers developing the system
architecture.
Initially responsible as lead of two person effort to port IPX router
software.
Led the multi-protocol design and implementations for the Layer 2/3
interface, On-demand circuits, and LAN-to-LAN spoofing.

based print server products running over both
Ethernet and Token Ring. Specific responsibilities
included scheduling, project plans, architecture,
design specs and interface with manufacturing when
integrating new hardware and diagnostics.
Responsible for providing direction to three
engineers.
Developed a multi-protocol print server. Lead the integration of Vines,
IPX, TCP/IP, and Apple protocol stacks over Ethernet. Directed Alpha and
Beta testing.
