Project: CONTAINER MANAGEMENT DEVELOPMENT- CMS.
CMS - Stands for Case Manufacturing System. Case and Fiat Group have a tie
up business. Fiat Group is in the process of implementing a standard
container management strategy for all of the businesses under the Fiat
Group umbrella. This solution "shares" standard containers across all
businesses as a pool and manages that pool with suppliers and logistics
operators.
The goal is to reduce container and logistics costs across all of Fiat
Group. By sharing the pool, fewer containers will be needed and logistics
costs are reduced by minimizing the transportation costs of empty
containers to suppliers by sending the available containers closest to the
supplier.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in analysis and estimation of schedule and efforts based on
User Requirements.
. Co-ordination with Business Analyst/Finance Leads/IT users to define
requirements.

ISSES system stands for Integrated Spares and Support Equipment System.
This system currently runs on mainframe environment. AMPS is Aviation
material procurement system. This is an Oracle Project which is being
designed to replace the major system ISSES, which is the key revenue in
Spares Aviation business of GE.The Data is extracted from ISSES based on
business logic, convert those extracts into formats and designs as expected
by AMPS Oracle and support AMPS data load. The data extracts correspond to
RSP (Revenue Share Partner), Inventory Modules in ISSES.
Responsibilities:
. Involved in analysis and estimation of schedule and efforts based on
User Requirements.
. Gather requirements and create Requirement documentation.
. Create Functional and Technical Specifications.
. Selection of appropriate tools of either COBOL/JCL or Focus/JCL tool
to create formats and extracts depending on User requirements.
. Create mapping design documents for the extracts created, to do a one
to one mapping between the current ISSES System and new AMPS systems.
. Coordinating with the AMPS functional and technical experts to get the
design documents signoff.
. All documents at each phase of the SDLC are maintained by the team in
VSS, for version control.

Rapid Response Digital Cockpit project caters to all kinds of reporting
needs involved in the various modules of ISSES. The major reports would be
generated in Cognos Visualizer and Cognos Impromptu. For Urgent reports not
available on Cockpit the Focus reporting tool is used.
Responsibilities:
. Analysis and estimation of User Requirements.
. Use of Mercury Quality Center to enter new requirements/track old
requirements.
. Creation and Review of Functional Specification (FS) and Technical
Specification (TS) requirement document.
. Meetings with IT team and Client for the review of FS and TS Documents
and get sign off.
. Estimations for Unit test cases preparation, coding, testing and
Delivery phases.
. Unit Testing, Integration and Regression/System testing as required by
the clients requirements and review of the test results.
. Quality control for each phase of SDLC.

ISSES -GP7000-RSP/Finance project is a development project for
Commercial business of ISSES for a new set of parts under a new product
line of GP7. This Finance and RSP module deals with the invoicing of Gp7
Orders, and then settling the entitlements needed to pay to GE's Revenue
Share partners.
Aviall Implementation was to facilitate a new customer Aviall into
the ISSES system.
Receiving Orders, Reports of the new Aviall parts in ISSES and financing
of orders received from Aviall
Customer like any other normal customer in ISSES.
IMPACT is an Online Purchasing System of GEAE. It has been
designed to cater to all the purchasing needs of GEAE. It caters to the
users of different functional areas like purchasing, finance, production
control, military product support, quality control, US government, etc. The
project has been developed using DB2 and VS COBOL II mainly, through some
interfaces to other systems and files.
The project deals with the setup of a new warehouse for aviation
Replenishment Customer HNR and withdrawal customer HNS in ISSES.
Responsibilities:
. Preparing analysis document.
. DB2 and IDMS base, new jobs creation using JCL and new programs using
DB2/COBOL, IDMS/COBOL.
. Used Various IBM JCL utilities and tools ICEGENER, FILE-AID, IDCAMS,
TSO, ISPF, and FTP to send data to other interfaces.
. Used DB2 utilities REORG, COPY, MERGE, RUNSTATS, and LOAD and UNLOAD
for data management and testing purposes.
. Create and review Unit testing and fill the Unit test case results.
