Lead Developer
• Improved an automated process that interfaced a bank file into the Lawson CashBook system, this resulted in a
70% reduction in transactions being booked to incorrect GL accounts and eliminated significant rework.
• Moved the eCenter check printing application to a newer server allowing the decommissioning of the old server
and saving maintenance costs.
• Participated in a project to review the way bug fixing and code turnover work was being tracked, resulting in
improvements to the way the process was being done and allowing management to have better visibility into
outstanding system issues.
• Managed an upgrade of the Lawson System from version 7.2.4 to version 8.0.3, working with external consultants
and
internal employees. This allowed the company to implement new functionality and remain current on application
maintenance.
• Worked with government auditors and Accounting resources to clarify and determine what Lawson GL information
was required for an audit.
• Worked as a technical resource to analyze and clarify the level of effort required for a Lawson environment
upgrade
from version 8.0.3 to LSF9, which included a server migration and a database conversion from Sybase to Oracle.
This
allowed the company to remain current on the software version, saving maintenance costs.
• Worked with an external consultant and the Accounting group to implement Lawson ProcessFlow, allowing the
accounting group to implement better controls around Journal Entry approval and documentation.
• Provided primary support for the Lawson Financial General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Billing, and Accounts
Receivable systems and the Harbor Payments eCenter Laser Check system, as well as other smaller specialized
systems used by various Textron Financial and Textron businesses.
• Developed interfaces between the Lawson system and ADP, TeamConnect, Concur and Hyperion using the
Hyperion
SQR report writing tool.
• Oversaw interfaces into the Lawson system from several other smaller systems used by various divisions of
Textron
Financial.
• Worked with several banks to develop ACH, EFT, positive pay and reconciliation file transmissions.
• Acted as lead assessor for internal assessment of ISO 9001 processes within the Textron Financial Information
Systems department twice a year.
• Was the primary source of information for any application security or functional audits performed on the Lawson
