SUPPLY CHAIN / LOGISTICS MANAGER (NJ), 2003-present

Operate as Senior Staff Consultant with a leadership role in strategic

planning, project implementation, and execution for a distribution network

optimization. Collaborate across the organization in implementation of the

distribution network to reduce fixed cost facilities to a variable cost

model, including 3PL-managed facilities. Ultimate goal was to move from a

fixed insource model to a variable outsourced model which I helped define

and implement. Position required biweekly presentations to the

corporation's senior executive management on progress and long term

strategy updates.

Manage project implementation, action items, and milestones in

collaboration with logistics, operations, systems, HR, and labor relations

teams, conducted weekly staff meetings with the implementation team

. Cut inventory by $2.3 million in 2007; in 2008 additional inventory

savings total $2.6 million.

. Headed the negotiations for a third-party logistics (3PL) agreement,

oversaw and brought up 2 warehouses.

. Sold existing facilities with a gross value of $100 million; utilized

the payment to finance changes.

. Closed 5 in-source warehouses and eliminated 120 positions. Completed

sales of facilities and assessed and financed the network optimization

plan.

. Transformed warehouse / distribution operations from a fixed insourced

model to variable outsource cost model

Managed daily operations for a 300,000 sq. ft. logistics center, which

included receiving, selection, shipping, inventory control, budgets, and

metrics. Oversaw a $2.5 million budget and annual sales over $200 million.

. Planned and executed on time and under budget relocation of the

existing warehouse to a modern facility.

. Consolidated routes and saved the organization $200,000 in

transportation expenses.

. Implemented a cutting edge warehouse management system application,

Warehouse Advantage.

. Boosted productivity by 23% over the previous year, and improved

productivity by 50%.

. Directed implementation of a new business venture for COEI product

("central office equipment installation") - allowing customer base to
