To whom it may concern:

This document will serve as a recommendation for employment for Patrick J.

McGuire. Pat has worked for General Motors Janesville Assembly

continuously since 1979. Pat started at the plant as an hourly assembler.

Based on Pat's desire, excellent work record and habits, and

recommendations from his immediate supervisors, he was elected to be placed

into the Supervisor Training program. Pat completed that program and was

made a member of the Management team in mid 1986.

Pat performed his duties as a supervisor extremely well and was regularly

utilized to fill in for his immediate supervisor. Pat was proficiency

promoted to Senior Supervisor in 2000 and was later promoted to Business

Manager Chassis Department.

While working full time and raising a family he completed his Bachelor and

Master of Science degrees. Pat has always performed his tasks in a

professional manner and has regularly met production goals. During his

assignment at Janesville Assembly he was assigned into various departments

to include Chassis, Paint, Final Line, and Reprocess. Pat is a team player

and can work through all situations keeping the individual's and the

company's needs in mind. Pat routinely handled delicate assignments with

great success. Pat was well versed in Lean Manufacturing techniques and

led his group in using those processes.

Pat was transferred to the Parma Stamping plant upon the Janesville plant's

cessation. Pat will be an asset to any organization he joins and will make

that organization stronger. Pat was a strong member of our team and helped

the plant reach many of the goals and objectives set by the corporation.
