Network/System Engineer:

o As Technical Lead, I provided Network Management Support for Network

Design, Configuration, installation, Monitoring, and troubleshooting

of Cisco Routers, Switches, and Wireless Routers. Participated in

configuration, installation, and troubleshooting of Network Protocols

e.g. TCP/IP, SNMP, OSPF,RIP, RIP V2, EIGRP,IGRP, VTP, STP, HTTP, FTP,

tested Windows desktop PCs, Network Printers and Servers including

Windows 2003 Servers, Windows 2000 Servers, Windows Vista, Windows 7,

and Windows XP. Configure and Manage Fire Wall servers, VPN/IPSEC

servers, Proxy, and DNS servers.

o Support customer transition to new software release loads. Traveled to

customer premises to provide technical assistance with

software/hardware upgrades and to perform problem investigation.

Provide coordination with TAC staff, Development Engineering, PLM, and

customer to insure that responsive feedback is provided to all.

Participated in the Network design of Satellite System per Customer's

requirement. Performed Database backup and restore on the tapes and

hard drive. Installed, managed, and monitored the Antivirus

applications.

System Management, Verification, and testing:

o Installed, configured and verified Hub and remote components, like IP

Gateways, Satellite Gateway, MGW Gateway, Web ACS, CAC, Timing Units,

DNCC, VPN/IPSEC GW, HPUX DW-NOC, MMV- NOC, HN-NOC and HX-NOC.

Commission and test the Remote/Hub components including MMV, DW4000,

DW 4010, DW 4020, DW 4030, DW6030, DW7000, DW7700 and DW 6000. Verify

features including VADB, SRIP, PEP, DHCP, DNS Caching and WEBACS.

o Performed system testing and trouble shooting of variety of Network

Systems and products including developing the test plan, procedures

based on software requirements, design documents, and ensured that the

test results meet the Customer's requirements. Documented any

outstanding problems and workaround the system may require, for Field

Application Engineers and Customers. Installed and verified remote

software, resolved compatibility, and upgrade issues.

o Participated in designing network system architecture for Point to

Multi Point (PMP) broadband System that would facilitate the

evaluation and certification of a wireless broadband system. As part

of this activity helped in research, planning, and evaluation of

Broadband equipment for the use in the system integration activities.

Install, commission, test and troubleshoot Hardware and software for

PMP subsystem and system, Point to Multi Point wireless system

operating in the 38GHz, 24GHz, 26GHz, 10.5GHz and 3.5GHz spectrum.

o Interfaced with development Engineering team, Project Managers, and

customers to ensure that product meets customer requirement.

Participated in system problem reviews and summarized each problem

found from the product qualification phase through General

Availability. Performed First Office Application (FOA). Provided

support to third party software and hardware with variety of products.

Software Verification, Testing, and product support:

o As a Team Lead, worked with development team and System Engineers to

integrate software components into a system to meet Customer

requirements. Write and perform end to end functional and operational

tests to validate the functionality and operational use of the system.

Responsible for running Suite of tests to validate builds for

delivery and to benchmark the system stability and performance.

Document detailed test procedures and results.

o Developed QA Procedures, Test Plans, Test Procedures and writing Test

Cases with cross reference to customer's requirements and design

documents. Performed functional, regression, and performance testing

using Test Tools like What's Up Gold, Traffic generator, SNMP Browser

and HP Open View. Tested the applications and Functionality of the

Serial Protocols like X25, SDLC, LLC, XPAD, DSPAD using Data Analyzer

and IDACOM. Specialized in writing and performing load tests using

spread sheets to create, modify and delete Hub and Remote components.

o Wrote Test Plans for Features including system tests and subsystem

tests for Fusion SET TOP Boxes. Perform subsystem/system load tests

using Bit Stream Generator for DirecTV product. Performed Software

Installation, and verification of the Fusion SET BOX, software

downloads via Satellite using the Bit Stream simulator. Executed

Cellular Digital Packet Data (CDPD) Test Qualification Plans

(Regression and New Feature Tests) and 3rd party Vendor Qualification

plans. Wrote Commissioning Tests for Field Application Engineers and

documented any outstanding problems and workarounds, which the system

may require. Tested and verified CDPD network on customer premises

and in lab environments. Diagnose and troubleshoot problems at

customer sites including network/IP routing problems, RF problems,

component software problems, and database problems.
