1. Recovered over $300K in duplicate payments from vendor deposits through
diligent audit research.
2. Reduced tax liability by $1.5M from California State Audit through
careful and diligent analysis of sales orders that the state auditor had
labeled as taxable.
3. Formed AP supervisor group organizing 15 divisions and improving AP
systems for the company by showing the cost impact of present systems
which led to new, improved software the next year.
4. Generated savings in cost area by working with vendors for discounts, 2
year contracts for raw materials, negotiated with suppliers to cut bills
for power, phones, office supplies, etc.
5. Clean audits yearly with several companies due to strict adherence to
GAAP policies and procedures fully documented and tested as well as
complete SOX documentation and compliance.
6. Extensive experience in bottoms up costing of job order systems from
initial review of every raw material cost, to labor review of each step
of process, meeting with manufacturing and working with them to set
achievable time saving goals.
7. Plan, organize and lead the annual physical inventory at winery for
multiple locations establishing a net variance of $11K on $25M worth of
inventory. Another industry $40K on $14M of audited inventory due to
diligent review and follow-up on all variances instituting new procedures
as applicable.
8. Responsible for clearing A/R issues and bringing A/R aging from 70%
currently outstanding to 98% current.
