CONTROL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

. Mark-up instrumentation during Front End Design & Development (FEED)
phase on Piping & Instrument Diagrams (P&ID's) using Process Flow
Diagrams (PFD's).
. Generate Instrument Index (INtools (SPI) index Module), Prepare
datasheets for field instruments including inline devices such as
control valves, on-off valves, venturis, orifice plates, restriction
orifices and local instruments such as electronic transmitters, level
gauge glasses, etc. in Specification Module. Import process data
using SPI External Editor to Process Module. Perform inline device
calculations such as Cv for control valves, ? ratio for orifice plates
in Calculation Module.
. Prepare Material Requisitions (MR's) while using Data Broker to import
Instrument Tags from INtools for Quotation. Perform Technical BID
Evaluations for major inline instrument commodities and follow up with
MR's for Purchase.
. Prepare Vessel Level Nozzle Setting Diagrams including detailed
calculations for transmitter calibration and gauge glass assembly
dimensions.
. Review Cause and Effect diagrams and Safety Interlock Narratives.
. Review and provide comments to Piping Isometric Drawings (ISO).
. Participate in P&ID Line by Line and HAZOP reviews.
. Prepare Material Take-Off (MTO) and Engineering Job-hour calculations
for FEED phase
. Create Design Change Notices (DCN) / Management of Change (MOC) Log
for P&ID Master mark-up.
. Review pre-engineered Vendor Packages using Citrix Metaframe
Presentation / Redlining Tool to assign / check tags and input in
Instrument Index, making sure its Location, I/O Location, I/O type,
Description and Wiring Diagram is consistent with Project
requirements. Check vendor packages for accuracy and consistency with
project's symbology and nomenclature. Provide interface liaison for
packaged equipment vendors. Witness compressor Factory Acceptance
Testing with client.
. Familiar with Complex Control Loop Narratives.
. Prepared Safety Instrument System (SIS) graphics using SIS overview,
SIS graphic templates.
