Medical Devices - Purchasing Assistant - July 2009- Current
Hired as a temporary employee in Covidien's R&D procurement division to
help aid and speed up the procurement process. Worked the role of a Buyer
planner 1, completing expense and capital orders in SAP. Completed
Covidien's E-sourcing training with the new ARIBA program and was given
further responsibilities to work directly with the commodity manager with
the implementation and troubleshooting of ARIBA for quotation evaluation.
Used as the primary contact for vendors with ARIBA, broadening my exposure
with current projects, drawing analysis, and vendor relations. Also
gained experience with BPCS, checking inventory levels for the division's
purchasing agents and other buyers.

Worked hands on with real estate databases. Responsibilities included the
search for listings, comps, and potential customers in the Northern New

Contributed to the creation of the first intercollegiate club soccer team
at St. Anselm College. Competed in the region 1 league (New England),
traveling from Vermont to Rhode Island. Held key role as a leader both on
and off the field, by organizing and running practices and by motivating
club members to participate in fundraising opportunities resulting in the
success of the club's budget.
