Satellite Ground Systems Engineer: Worldwide installation, test and
commissioning of Satellite Ground Station antennae and associated GCE for
National PTT's and Private Companies. Installation and commissioning of GSM
BSS & BTS.
2008:
Completion of DTH project in India
Installation and test of DOCSIS 3.0 CMTS throughout Delaware, USA for major
cable operator.
2007:
Installation, test, commissioning and signoff of GSM VSAT backhaul system
throughout Suriname and Guyana. 2 x 7.3Mtr hub antennae, 2.4Mtr remotes.
Site Manager for complete DTH Headend installation for major Indian Telecom
company. Responsible for the day to day functioning of the integration
team. include 2 x 11Mtr. Ku band Viasat antennas, 25 x 3.8Mtr TVRO
antennas, dual 1:6 KHPA Gen IV and all associated IF equipment. Daily
interaction with customer management personnel regarding building design
changes, timelines etc. Supervision of a team of 20 Installers / engineers
for the entire time of the project (8 months). System was completed in
summer 2008 on time and within budget.
2006:
Installation, test, commissioning and signoff of GSM VSAT backhaul system
throughout Haiti. 7.3Mtr Hub antenna, 2.4Mtr. remotes.
Installation,. test, commissioning, training and signoff of 1:4 Gen IV DTH
transmission system in Kuala Lumpur to support coverage of Soccer World Cup
2006 for Malaysian DTH company.
Installation, test, commissioning and signoff of dual 1:6 Gen IV DTH system
as part of systemwide upgrade for Malaysian DTH company
Installation, test, commissioning of 1:4 Gen III DTH system in Jakarta,
Indonesia. 4.5Mtr antenna.
2005:
Installation, test,commissioning and signoff of dual 1:6 Gen IV system for
Malaysian DTH operator Diversity site. To include 2 x 11Mtr Vertex Ku band
antennae, 3 x Vertex 7.3Mtr TVRO motorised antennae and 1 X Simulsat TVRO
antenna plus all associated IF subsystems.

Senior Engineer, in the network control centre, of the worlds' first fully
digital DTH satellite T.V. and Radio network. Responsible to the Director
of Network Engineering for the quality of incoming and outgoing T.V. and
radio feeds, both permanent and occasional for rebroadcast or taping,
requiring close co-ordination with service providers i.e. BBCWSTV, CSI,
RAI, MAXAT, close cooperation with PTT's for the installation and test of
permanent and occasional circuits for voice and TV links. Operation and
configuration of the Scientific Atlanta CL 4000 and NTL 2000 Digital
Compression Encryption equipment and associated control and authorisation
software. Responsible for the supervision of contract staff in the
installation, test & commissioning of all equipments in the Network
Transmission System and played an integral part in the simultaneous launch
of 16 TV and 4 radio channels on the 25th May 1994.
March 1990 - March 1994: Satellite Controller

Monitor and control of Inmarsat 2nd Generation satellites and associated TT
& C Stations on a 24 / 7 / 365 basis. Specifically, monitoring the health
of 4 satellites, perform stationkeeping and attitude control manoeuvres
utilising the multi-satellite support computer system. Remote configuration
of TT & C Ground Station Equipment to support the mission. Liasing with
relevant PTT's in order to maintain the integrity of the Timeplex X25 link
data network. Participated in pre-launch spacecraft and ground system
procedure production and validation for all aspects of the mission.

Operations Director for the management of the Operations Control Centre on
24-hour basis. Supervision of all OCC staff on duty. Maintaining ground
system integrity for support of all European Space Agency (ESA) missions in
progress.
Participated in all launch and early orbit phase operations performed by
ESA for the period listed. Liaising with service providers to ensure
integrity of ESA X.25 Data Communications System, performance of BER tests
prior to circuit acceptance and circuit fault investigation utilising data
link analyser. Configuration of spacecraft simulators for training
