Summary of Experience

Over a period of 5 years, I have been employed with Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), a

software and services consultancy giant in India. During this period, I have successfully

executed various technical and business projects for my client (‘Colruyt group’, a retail

chain in Belgium) individually and as part of a team. Listed below are the projects I

worked on at TCS and Colruyt (listed reverse chronologically).

Project Name : CDP (Colruyt Distribution Platform) – Ordering

Work Location:Halle, Belgium

Role: Analyst / Designer/ Developer/ Onsite coordinator/ Ombudsman

Duration: Aug 2010 to Nov 2012

Technology: Front End : Java, JSPs, Javascript

Description:

CDP was an all automated single point approach for Colruyt’s supply chain management

and distribution systems which had been spread across multiple platforms and

businesses.

The program aimed to link and monitor the purchase processes in one system involving

challenging integration with multiple platforms.

Was part of the core development team of CDP that included projects like – ‘Automation of

ordering’, ‘Logistics Management’, ‘Stock Forecast’ etc. and was involved in the complete

project lifecycle starting from requirements gathering to post production.

Have assumed the roles of a programmer, designer and analyst at various stages of this

program.

Have performed extensive performance testing in this project.

Used multiple technologies like JSF, EJBs, Web services, MQ, etc.

Project Name: JRM (Java Resource Management) phase 3

JRM was an implementation of security concept ‘Identity Management’ to provide internal

security to Colruyt.

The project provides application security to the java based intranet & internet applications

Independently designed and developed the matrix proposition for assigning security to

roles in the latest release of JRM.

Used Javascripts, CSS and core java components extensively.

Project Name: Invoice matching

Description:

Invoice matching application was designed to assist the financing team of Colruyt group to

match the invoices of suppliers with the order receipts and to tally the differences.

It also additionally involves sending notifications to suppliers, order managers and

warehouse managers.

Involved in the enhancement of the application when ‘web methods’ was licensed to be

used for middleware services.

Involved in additional enhancements of the application such as adding features for book

keeping, searching invoices, scanning invoices as pdfs and eliminating use of paper

invoices etc.

Used javascripts, core java, web services, MQ extensively.

Project Name : JRM (Java Reource Management) phase 1 & 2

Duration : Aug 2008 to Dec 2009

Description:

JRM, an implementation of security concept ‘Identity Management’ was aimed at providing

authentication and authorization security to all Colruyt applications.

All the independent systems were designed and constructed in phase 1 while the system

interaction, connections to LDAP and other databases were part of phase 2.

Was a senior developer in the realization of the JRM phase 1 and 2 and worked on the

cross platform synchronization, migration of data to the new systems, and in LDAP

maintenance.

Used CSS and core java components for front end and business layer design in JRM.

Worked extensively on oracle packages and stored procedures for batch cycles used for

synchronization of data.

Project Name : Projwest (Dutch for ‘project effort’)

Duration: Nov 2007 to Jul 2008

Description:

Projwest is the employee timesheet entry and the effort tracking tool for Colruyt

employees created by TCS.

Its functionalities include entering daily efforts (projects/task wise), managing tasks and

projects, allocation of budget and other project management activities, planning resources

and allocation of work at the daily/hourly level and generating reports of different kinds.

Have been involved in the enhancement and creation of task /effort batch cycles for the

projwest application as well as in the development of the entire personal planning

application.

Have worked extensively with hibernate framework and oracle stored procedures in this

project.
