SUMMARY
I have expertise in the development of both algorithms and software toolkits in medical image processing. I have
extensive experiences on the image segmentation, deformable registration/fusion, machine-learning based object
detection and pattern recognition in 3D medical imaging applications. For implementation, I am an expert in C++,
Linux shell script, MATLAB and GPU programming.

Project: “Automatic algorithm for measuring left ventricle (LV) myocardial mass from CT cardiac image”
• Led the design and development of fully automated LV segmentation algorithm, which exceed
performance goals by being within +/- 7% of the ground truth.
• Led the integration of full automatic LV myocardial mass module into HeartFlow workstation v1.4
system for the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) based FFR estimation.
Project: “Automatic ostium points detection for coronary artery from CT cardiac image”
• Led the development effort for pattern recognition based image feature selection.
• Wrote C++ codes for machine learning based landmark detection, and executed test and evaluations.
