Primary developer, project architect and campus publicist for Web startup (www.researchmat.ch)

used by over 1500 students to find on-campus projects. Local coordinator of a team of 3 professional

recruiters and 1 student developer. Remote coordinator of a team of 4 professional developers in

India for a sister project programmed in Drupal. ResearchMat.ch is endorsed by Columbiaʼs

University Senate IT committee and Engineering Graduate Student Council. It won “Best Business

Model” at 2012 Columbia Devfest and was one of 5 NYC startups selected in Fall 2012 to present

at 3-Day Startup Weekend NYC (bit.ly/ResearchMatch3DSNYC).

Spring-Summer 2011 MARSHAL: A DNA sequence assembly algorithm in Java

Conceived and served as primary developer of MARSHAL (marshalbio.sourceforge.net), an ultrafast

tool enabling DNA short read mappers to combine data from multiple references.
