Site Manager

Currently the Site Manager of the Midwest Service Center, a warehouse

supporting the West Michigan office furniture companies. Responsibilities

include taking customer orders, monitoring customer web sites for forecast

demand, assembling shipments, scheduling shipments, setting inventory

levels and ordering parts to stock the warehouse. I also supervise one

full time employee. In the past I've also supervised several work-at-home

mothers who assembled parts for us.

Senior Systems Analyst

When I left, I was a Senior Systems Analyst on a Hewlett Packard HP3000

series 987 computer system. Responsibilities include writing, maintaining,

support, and design of computer software for use on the HP3000. I was

called on to estimate projects based on specifications given by user as

well as formulate installation plans for these requests. I was part of a

30+ member Management Leadership Team that helps in the development of

operational objectives for the Company. I was asked to select hardware and

software solutions to solve all types of business problems either in the

manufacturing area or the administrative area of the business. I have been

involved with coordinating the use of resources both within the company and

also resources outside of the company. Professional accomplishments

include the writing of a system to report the availability of product based

upon the manufacturing plans of the company and the streamlining of many

formerly manual processes in both the Customer Service and Accounts

Receivable areas. I also have professional pride in a system that was

written to track shipments of finished goods to dealers using portable bar

code readers for lot tracking as well as customer support functions.

Team Leader of Applications Programming

When I left, I was the Team Leader of Applications Programming (HP3000) on

a Hewlett Packard HP3000 series 987 computer system. Responsibilities

included writing, maintaining, support, and design of computer software as

well as overseeing the other programmers who worked on the HP3000. Last

primary support area is Order Entry. I also did phone support for other

areas of business including the fielding of questions about a home-grown

word processing system, and escrow/closing system, and a posting and

searching system. In addition to this, I also fielded questions about

personal computer software. This phone support was conducted for

approximately 40 offices scattered around the lower third of the lower

peninsula of Michigan. Professional accomplishments include the

implementation of an improved Order Entry system and the implementation of

an improved management reporting system.

When I left, I was a Senior Programmer/Analyst on several Hewlett Packard

HP3000 computer systems. Responsibilities included writing, maintaining,

support, and design of computer software. Primary areas of support were

Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, General Ledger

(Mitchell Humphrey & Co.), Cost Accounting, Payroll, and Human Resources.

Other areas of experience include Sales and Marketing, Order Entry, and On-

Line Menu system, and a File Transfer system that allowed for the transfer

of files from one system to another.
