My name is Arianna Bonfioli and I have just graduated from Milan University. My bachelor degree in Public Relations and my master degree in Marketing and Corporate Communication have given me a solid base upon which I plan to build my career.
I would like to candidate myself for the internship program, in order to start a career in Public Relations.
I already had the chance to work with some non-profit organizations and I realize how they can make the difference. I strongly believe that our global system has arrived to a critical spot and it is highly necessary to find a way to change path. In my master degree final paper I focused on what the profit business can do to be sustainable and which kind of CSR practices they will have to improve to accomplish that.
During my last internship I also gained some experience in CSR management and stakeholder relationship management. The aim of this internship was the organization of the biggest Italian CSR Expo “Dal Dire al Fare” (http://www.daldirealfare.eu/). During the Expo I had the chance to confront myself with different approaches on CSR, both from Italian and international firms. Furthermore I had the opportunity to develop a Communication Strategy with one of the major player in the Italian energy industry: ERG Group (http://www.erg.it). As event planner assistant, one of my duties was to promote the expo with a special attention to social media. I also managed a web platform named Wikicsr (http://www.wikicsr.it/), with the aim of building a shared knowledge on Italian CSR world.
During my studies I travelled abroad and I attended a Spanish and a Canadian Universities because I strongly believe that every culture has a lot to teach and it gives a special point of view that can help seeing things from a new perspective. In order to be a good Public Relator, I think be aware and experiment different cultures is fundamental and helps to communicate to the totality of stakeholders. In my opinion, every culture can give a different point of view on communication issue and I think this is important to maintaining constructive relationships. In this way, living in different countries, allowed me to acquire a more comprehensive view on the world of communication.
I lived in Canada for a semester at University of Prince Edward Island and I really appreciated Canadian culture. I decided to move in this country because I think I can learn so much for the development of my professional knowledge and it would be a great experience to my personal growth.
I already have a Working Holiday Visa which allows me to work in this country and I will be in Toronto from February the 15th.
I hope you’ll considere my application for your internship program.
Best regards,
Arianna Bonfioli
