OBJECTIVE
I seek a career as a contract manager. I have been employed with the Utah
State University Extension Service since 2008 where I have supervised staff
and volunteers in the 4-H Program. I have written and published multiple
articles, manuals, and factsheets in my career.

RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE
. 4-H Extension Assistant Professor: Worked as a 4-H Extension faculty
in Tooele County Utah. Received $94,950 in grants, published
scholarly journal articles, and built programs designed to help kids
excel in science, technology, plants, and natural resources. I work
to help youth better understand agriculture, natural resources, and
related issues. Trained volunteers, worked with youth, and planned
multiple events each year.
. National Internship: Senator Orrin Hatch, Washington D.C. Summer 2004.
Worked directly with the legislative assistant in charge of
agriculture, natural resources, and energy. Researched agriculture and
natural resource and other issues, assessed public opinion and
attended committee meetings for the Senator. Responded to
constituents, answered queries and maintained files for Senator's
office.
. State Internship: Utah State House of Representatives - 2004
Legislative Session. Examined appropriation and other bills,
researched related topics, sat in on hearings, met with state
officials, and organized information for two State Representatives.
Telephoned agencies on behalf of constituents and legislators and
responded to constituents' letters for the legislators.
. Sagers Family Farm Trust and Erda Hay: 1984-1998 Raised beef cattle
and alfalfa on a family owned and operated ranch. Fed, raised and
performed other work with Hereford and Angus cattle for 14+ years.
Also assisted in planting, irrigating and raising alfalfa and other
crops on a 240-acre farm.
. JBS Swift Blue Ribbon Beef: Nov 2006-Feb 2008. Operated equipment and
judged grades, standards and other beef packing tasks. During this
job, became familiar with this part of the beef cattle industry.
. Teacher's Aide: Teaching Assistant at Utah State University. Taught in
the language lab, provided online tutoring, corrected assignments and
assisted students and teacher in Italian 1010 and 1020.

. Boy Scout Leader - Unit Advancement Committee Member for a Boy Scout
Troop and Leader of the Young Men and Troop. Also a Merit Badge
Counselor for the Boy Scouts of America for Citizenship in World,
Nation, and Community badges.
. Future Farmers of America - Four year member of the FFA and
participated in Crop Judging and Ag mechanics competitions on our
chapter's team at the state level.
. 4-H Member - Participated in many clubs and activities with USU
Extension as a youth. Entered many projects in county and state fairs
and entered many 4-H contests. Projects included cooking, gardening,
photography, public speaking, woodworking, and Dairy contests.

globalization's effect on agriculture, land use and industry. Dealt
with political issues such as immigration and transitions to democracy
