Personal Statement

For the past * years I have been working in a team leader position actively

training towards an assistant management position. I am enthusiastic, quick

to learn and feel I have a friendly and amiable character, making it easy

to approach the public and co-workers. I enjoy working as part of a team

and I am able to take on active responsibility of a team to achieve a goal.

I pride myself on being hard working, punctual and always willing to go the

'extra mile' to ensure delivery of the highest levels of customer service

possible. Being in the licensed trade has given me the knowledge and

experience to communicate effectively with many different types of people

in a variety of different situations. I am currently waiting to start a

nail technician course at Halesowen College in April, with the hope of

achieving a NVQ level 2 in September 2013. I would be able to work part

time or full time as it is an adult course, and requires one day a week at

college. I have recently re-taken some GCSE's to help me achieve this aim.

I had to leave my last position in a bar to achieve the necessary time to

concentrate on my GCSE retakes.

Team Leader: Main responsibilities include:

Opening and closing the pub, cashing up at the end of the night, taking

money to pay in to the bank, organising the team of bar staff, general bar

work, record keeping, computer skills, stock control, preparing for Mystery

Shopper visits, working with the Manager to ensure excellent customer

service. As it is a flagship pub, I have to maintain high standards of

customer service, personal appearance and cleanliness of the venue at all

times and ensure that our guests are satisfied and leave wanting to return.

Subside Bar (2008)

Bar Staff: Main responsibilities included:

Handling of money, upkeep of bar area and general bar work - serving

customers/dealing with queries.

Republic Retail (2005-2008)

Sales Assistant: Main responsibilities included:

Up-selling, replenishment, delivery of great customer service.
