Served (2) 6 month contracts as a second shift Applications Analyst. Second

tier support responsibilities included day to day handling of hot desk

questions, incident tickets, tasks, changes and problems regarding the

various in-house developed trading applications within the NYSE European

and US markets. Liaise with the European teams when high profile incidents

occurred on shift. Execute live monitoring of all applications across all

environments as a backup to the hot desk monitoring of the

applications/network maps.

Projects:

Document various procedures for new applications along with documenting

daily timelines for day to day activities as

well as older procedures that needed updating. Create up to the minute

check sheet to include all environments.

Write K-shell scripts for the purpose of expediting data migration for the

Embassy Suites Hotel - O'Hare/Rosemont

Assistant Controller

Manage the accounting department with a staff of 6. Structured and

controlled operations for the accounting department while serving as the

primary contact specifically assigned to preserve and maintain the assets

of the hotel. Review of supply and guest contracts for compliance and cost

savings. Additional responsibilities included being the manager on duty

and overseeing all functions of the hotel's operations for scheduled

weekends. Maintain and improve the P&L margins. Travel to newly acquired

properties to help transition the property over to the new management as

Initiatives:

Spearheading a retraining initiative for the hotel's front desk staff in

regards to hotel security, theft and fraud. The outcome of this project

resulted in a 26% improvement in guest scores and feedback while reducing

our losses by over 30%. Redefined the month end process along with

consolidating the detailed sequence in which reports and taxes were

submitted to the government and corporate offices for a more efficient

evaluation of the property's financials.

within the software control and distribution services group. This entailed

Network Engineer

environments.
