Project: Analysis and Migration Tibco In concert applications to jBPM. (June 2011 – October2011)

SYNOPSIS:

Swiss Re is currently using TIBCO InConcert as the workflow definition tool. Currently TIBCO InConcert is out dated and

no support is being provided by the proprietary owner. Hence there is a need to move to the different workflow/process

management tool. So there is a decision to move towards the open source tool JBPM.

JBPM analysis describes the technical details whether the Tibco InConcert Applications can be replaced with the JBPM.

JBPM is the Business Process Management offers a programmatic structure for designing transactions and executing them

using automated decision, tasks and sequence flows.

Provides an understanding of JBPM-JPDL.

Migration to JBPM template, JBPM database.

Software and setup to be done for running the application.

Responsibility Handled:

Project Plan preparation and tracking the Schedule.

SYNOPSIS:

Application for maintaining of the Sony Product configuration details. (Laptop and its accessories).

GARATA internally has 4 sub applications,

• GARATA Admin

• GARATA Portal

• VAIO IRSP (VAIO International Repair Service) and

• GVSI (Global Vaio Service Information) is hosted as internet application.

GARATA Admin & Portal applications are used by Factory users. It is the development of the Information Sharing

Platform for Service VAIO Global Service Database Warehouse which unifies and provides standardized/authorized

information for service. The GARATA database is administered by many applications and the main two applications;

GARATA Admin and GARATA Portal are also used to maintain the information of the global VAIO data.

The main End users for these applications are SONY VGCS.

VAIO IRSP application is used by Consumers (B2C), Authorized Service Centers as B2B app & for Sony agent users as

intranet application. This application is mainly used for registering VAIO laptops details & get the service for both In-

Warranty & Out-Warranty models. This application is a multi-lingual application..

Responsibility Handled:

• Involved in handling all the enhancements for GARATA Admin, GARATA Portal, and support the users for smooth

SYNOPSIS:

GAMELA is an acronym for “Globally Advanced Model for Essential Logistics Application”. GAMELA aims to

Re-engineer Business Processes for Sony Supply Chain Solution’s daily Logistics operation.

GAMELA primarily has three main objectives and they are as follows:

G-INK & M-INK sub systems are part of GAMELA system and support Import operations of finished goods by Tokyo and

monitor the status of orders and import at different stages. M-INK is web-based system, developed using J2EE (SJM v.1.

M-INK also includes an interface with Supplier systems Dolphin and Pencoid, down streams systems as TMS, WMS,

EMCS and other systems for Costing & Logistics data.

M-INK supports Tokyo import operations for EMCS factories. It Receives and Processes DVAI from suppliers, vendors

from Asia & Europe for Tokyo Shipments. After DVAI is processed, related data is shared with other sub systems like

Wink, Think-Tank and Gink..

Syain Survey System is used for creating online Surveys from the admin and to keep track of the surveys that are answered

by the Employees and data of the particular survey is archived and stored in database, once the employee has answered for

the particular survey he won’t have the authority to answer for the same survey again. Admin is able to generate the report

from the database using CSV format. This application was developed using validator framework, Struts Frame work.

the CSV format.

The idea was to automatize the financial settlements for Quest Corporation.
