SYNOPSIS:
Swiss Re is currently using TIBCO InConcert as the workflow definition tool. Currently TIBCO InConcert is out dated and
no support is being provided by the proprietary owner. Hence there is a need to move to the different workflow/process
management tool. So there is a decision to move towards the open source tool JBPM.
JBPM analysis describes the technical details whether the Tibco InConcert Applications can be replaced with the JBPM.
JBPM is the Business Process Management offers a programmatic structure for designing transactions and executing them
using automated decision, tasks and sequence flows.
Provides an understanding of JBPM-JPDL.
Migration to JBPM template, JBPM database.

GARATA Admin & Portal applications are used by Factory users. It is the development of the Information Sharing
Platform for Service VAIO Global Service Database Warehouse which unifies and provides standardized/authorized
information for service. The GARATA database is administered by many applications and the main two applications;
GARATA Admin and GARATA Portal are also used to maintain the information of the global VAIO data.
The main End users for these applications are SONY VGCS.
VAIO IRSP application is used by Consumers (B2C), Authorized Service Centers as B2B app & for Sony agent users as
intranet application. This application is mainly used for registering VAIO laptops details & get the service for both In-
Warranty & Out-Warranty models. This application is a multi-lingual application..

GAMELA is an acronym for “Globally Advanced Model for Essential Logistics Application”. GAMELA aims to
Re-engineer Business Processes for Sony Supply Chain Solution’s daily Logistics operation.
GAMELA primarily has three main objectives and they are as follows:

G-INK & M-INK sub systems are part of GAMELA system and support Import operations of finished goods by Tokyo and

M-INK also includes an interface with Supplier systems Dolphin and Pencoid, down streams systems as TMS, WMS,
EMCS and other systems for Costing & Logistics data.
M-INK supports Tokyo import operations for EMCS factories. It Receives and Processes DVAI from suppliers, vendors
from Asia & Europe for Tokyo Shipments. After DVAI is processed, related data is shared with other sub systems like
Wink, Think-Tank and Gink..

from the database using CSV format. This application was developed using validator framework, Struts Frame work.
