CURRICULUM VITAE
Education
**** - **** *********** ********** ** Valencia and University of Valencia
Master in Biomedical Engineering (120 ECTS)
During the Master study in Biomedical Engineering I worked in
different projects
with companies and university such as: design of a knee
prosthesis and surgical instrumentation, design of an
electrooculogram, project management, bioelectricity and
bioelectromagnetics.
2007 - 2008 Hanze Institute of Technology, Groningen
Minor - International Biomedical Engineering
I worked in a project along with mechanical and electrical
engineering students in the design of Phantom Heart Pump system.
The goal of the project was to design an artificial heart pump
system that mimics the blood circulation in the left ventricle.
Moreover we did other project together. Design and manufacture
of an extensible femoral prosthesis. We did a prototype of
femoral prosthesis for patients in growing age.
Participation in "Biomedical Engineering in a European
Perspective 2007" grade - 8.2.Summer course 2007 in
Wilhelmshaven, Germany. During the program I learned about
Biomaterial Science-fundamentals and we made a poster
presentation. The most interesting to learn here was working
with people from different background from all over the world.
2004 - 2008 Polytechnic University of Valencia
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
During my bachelor's study I worked in different school projects
such as: Installation of plumbing for a factory of flour,
Calculation to design a gear box and others.
2004 - 2006 IFPS (Integrated Center for Public Vocational Training) Ausias
March
Orthopaedic Technician
During the vocational training I learned to manufacture
orthosis, external prosthesis and arch supports for feet.
1999 - 2002 University of Valencia
Bachelor's Degree in Speech Therapy
Work Experience
2012 Company: Lafitt .S.A., Paterna (Valencia)
Master Thesis (Design of mobile bearing knee prosthesis)
The project "Design of mobile bearing knee prosthesis" is a
project to improve the original design of a knee prosthesis. The
goal was to confer movement to the tibial component. Software
used was Solidworks. Other software: CorelDRAW X3.
2008 - Now Company: TAGESA. Place: Center for Public Health Research
(CSISP).

Receptionist
I work attending the phone calls. I take part managing parking
reservations and staff list. I am also responsible to inform
people that come with any doubt.
2008 Radboud University Nijmegen Medical Center. Dept. of Periodontology &
Biomaterials. Place: Nijmegen (The Netherlands).
Bachelor Thesis (Improvement of mechanical properties of
bioceramic materials using carbonanotubes)
The project "Improvement of mechanical properties of bioceramic
materials using carbonanotubes" is was an innovative project to
study the possible benefits of using CNT's.
This Project had two different parts. First part had the
objective of reinforce the brittle bioceramic coatings. Second
part had the objective of improve the mechanical characteristics
of calcium phosphate cements. Therefore, CNT fibers were mixed
with coatings and cement for imparting strength and toughness.
Techniques used: Synthesis of apatite, Dispersion of carbon
nanotubes, Electrostatic Spray Deposition (ESD), Dynamic Light
Scattering Technique (DLS), Scratch test, Compression test,
Brazilian test, Scanning electron microscope, Transmission
electron microscope.

Projects
Orthopedics
I worked on a project to design a mobile knee with rotation
and translation of the plastic tibial component that is
able to move with the physiological movement. This was my
final project for Biomedical Engineering master but it was
developed in the company Lafitt. This company is
specialized in the design, development, manufacture and
marketing of implants and surgical instruments for
orthopedic surgery.
Design optimization
I worked on a project given together with other engineering
students to redesign an extensible femoral prosthesis by
improving the leaking system and others.
Medical design
I worked on a project to design an artificial heart
together with other engineering students. We designed an
artificial heart circulation that mimics the circulation in
the left ventricle. This event was proposed at Hanze
Institute of Technology.
Biomaterials
Ceramic materials have poor properties. To solve this
problem a composite with one of the strongest world
material (CNTs) was effectuated in two different studies,
coatings and cements. Properties of solutions and samples
were evaluated by conductivity test, dynamic light
scattering, scanning electron microscopy, transmission
electron microscope and mechanical testing (scratch
test/MTS machine universal testing). I worked preparing the
samples and evaluating them with the previous techniques.
This was the final project for my minor in Biomedical Engineering in
school of Engineering Hanze Hogeschool and for my Bachelor
in Mechanical Engineering.
