EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Responsible for conceptual and detailed design of Instrumentation /
Electrical power, and control systems for various analyzer packages,
process instrumentation and power plant systems. Design included one-line
diagrams, trip tables, ac/dc protection control schematics & wiring
diagrams for line, breaker and transformer protection circuits. Implement
substation automation and data acquisition systems i.e. Scada. Also layout
design of all physical instrument panel and relay racks and associated
detail drawings. Generated instrument location & tube routing plans, loop
diagrams, P&ID'S, logic diagrams and development of control wiring diagrams
(cwd's) in conjunction with DCS system design. Developed schematics for
motor controls, field instrumentation control, graphic display panels,
annunciator panels, and critical process instrumentation from P & ID
drawings. Other areas of design include switchrack assembly, underground
duct banks, grounding, and cable splicing. Design also involved selection
of equipment, calculations for sizing motor loads, feeder sizing, voltage
drop, balance lighting loads, heat tracing, and conduit fill. Prepared all
drawings for one-line diagrams, schematic diagrams, interconnection wiring
diagrams, physical equipment layouts, and all necessary detail drawings.
Also acted as field liaison for construction coordination of projects.
REPRESENTATIVE EXPERIENCE
Detroit Edison NOX Reduction project, Monroe, Michigan
Lead Design of Instrumentation & Controls for new SCR (Selective Catalytic
Reduction System) units and I.D. fan installation for units 1,2,3&4 at
Monroe Power Plant. Units are coal fired rated at 750MW.
Damhead Creek Combined Cycle Power Station - England
Design of Instrumentation & Controls of a fully integrated distributed
control system for two gas fired turbine generators, two heat recovery
steam generators and one steam turbine unit.
Tampa Electric Power Station Project, Tampa Florida
Design of electrical / Instrumentation & controls for integrated
gasification combined cycle project. Design of tray layout for electrical
room; instrument layout,logic diagrams, control wiring diagrams, schematic
diagrams and modification to existing panels for retrofit.
Tosco Refining CO. Trainer,PA
Design of electrical and Instrumentation projects. Field on-site design of
