American Heart Association
National Center - Human Resources
7272 Greenville Avenue
Dallas, TX 75231
To Whom It May Concern:
I would like to express my interest in the Recruiter/HR Representative
listed on the American Heart Association website based in Dallas. My work
experience includes many facets of customer service, sales, administration,
hospitality, human resources, event and project management, recruitment,
and training. These experiences coupled with the projects I have managed
have allowed me to develop confidence, leadership, and effective
communication skills.
I am confident that my current position as Director of Event Operations and
previous positions have formed me into a well rounded individual that will
make me successful with American Heart Association. I am currently
responsible for the overall operations of the corporate office for Anthony
Travel which include recruitment, development, and retention. Since my
current employer does not have an HR department, those responsibilities
have been executed by me. I have successfully centralized resume
submission and evaluation. I am currently developing the interview process
to assure federal compliance.
In addition to my passion and enthusiasm, I bring to this position
commitment, assertiveness, and the ability to multitask. I am comfortable
in a fast-paced environment, open-minded, a self-starter, and well
organized. I am a fluent in Spanish both oral and written and have
extensive knowledge in all of the Microsoft Office programs (i.e. MS Word,
MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Publisher and some knowledge of MS
Access).
Throughout college I experienced collaborating with non-profit
organizations on project and events giving me exposure to people of many
backgrounds and work styles. I served my community as an active member and
officer with the Hispanic Women's Network, St. Jude's Hospital, and Kappa
Delta Chi Sorority.
I would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this opportunity and my
qualifications with you. I have applied for this opportunity and the
Project Coordinator in Scientific Meeting department based on my strengths.
My current salary is $62,500.00 annually. Although I would like to be in
that range or higher, my salary is negotiable for the right opportunity. I
can be reached at 214-***-**** (cell) or by email at ***********@*****.***.
Until then, thank you for your consideration and I look forward to meeting
with you.
Sincerely,
Jessica Alarc n
