Project: Universal Data Layer

Designed and developed the Universal Data Layer (UDL) application in order

to support client-independent data-file input and output subsystem for use

with Cargo databases. This application consisted of reader and parser

modules that break the incoming data streams into records based on command

line arguments. These records are further divided into specific data

elements that are passed on to the validation module. The validated data is

then assembled into records and written to a database or files. Data errors

and exceptions are logged and reported appropriately.

Project: Automated Scheduling for the US Air Force

The scheduling application was designed to schedule aircraft depending on

availability and ranking of the officials. Commercial linear programming

software was used to optimize the schedules. The front end consisted of

graphical representation of the output from the optimizer in the form of a

Gantt chart. Statistical analysis of the optimized output was also

provided. This application was successfully implemented on the client site.

Browser Based Application

The above application was extended to a browser where the request was fed

in through intranet, validated and subsequently scheduled.

SourceSafe, IIS and VBScript on NT.

Project: Sales Force Automation

Developed an application to allow sales representatives from remote

locations to obtain historic revenue and sales information from a central

server. This application was designed as a client-server multi-process

application on Windows NT. The process (one for every sales representative

logging on) communicates with a remote laptop honor data access and

downloads via x.25 connection. Data is stored on the centralized Oracle

database.

Project: Data Warehouse for IBM

Developed and implemented a PS information Warehouse in OS/2 client-server

environment. This application automates the retrieval and staging of data

from heterogeneous databases. Responsibility as a team leader included

coordinating the efforts of a team of five members, system design using OO

methodology, design of test cases, prototyping programs.
