Maintenance Manager
Manage all aspects of the maintenance department in order to
support the efficient operation of the Suffolk liquid coffee
manufacturing facility.
Manage all mechanical, utility, electrical, and store room
personnel and activities.
32-department personnel total, including 4 supervisors.
Manage an MRO storeroom with an inventory value of $1.9 million.
Assures compliance with all governmental/Sara Lee safety and
environmental policies, regulations, and laws.
Manage plant maintenance programs and activities including
preventive maintenance, unplanned maintenance, continuous process
improvements, storeroom and computerized maintenance management
system (CMMS) using multiple shift personnel to achieve AOP targets
within the KPI areas of safety, cost, quality, and customer
service.
Develop and manage annual maintenance operating budget of $3
million.
Develop departmental policies and procedures, and evaluate staffing
requirements and hiring criteria.
Assure all maintenance records are maintained as required for
audits and or product recall.
Responsible for management of the operations for the utility
systems, which include production of steam, soft water, reverse
osmosis water, compressed air, ammonia refrigeration, building HVAC
units, chillers, cooling towers, spent coffee grounds system,
waster water pre treatments, plant and general building and site
preservation.
Ensure Global Business Practices are followed through departmental
practices and by all employees at every level.
Work closely with Plant Change Agent to eliminate the eight wastes
and drive Lean Manufacturing Continuous improvement Initiatives
which include, 5's, Problem Solving utilizing the perato tools,
Equipment Strategy Workshops, Kizans, TMP, Error Proofing, and
Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE).
TPM champion responsible for driving initiative throughout the
plan. Currently in year two of three of a corporate driven TPM
rollout. Participate in a biweekly conference call, quarterly VP
report outs, and semi-annual conferences where I report on new
developments in our plant's TPM implementation and participate in
best practices. Develop monthly TPM KPI's which comsist of, PM
completion rate, % Maintenance Downtime, OEE, and Inventory turns.
Recongnized as the leader in Food Service for TPM. Equipment
management phase complete, now moving on to PM phase. Equipment
restandarization displayed dramitic decrease in downtime. Headed
up a team to complete plant criticality matrix. Impletemented many
phase of TPM prior to Corporate roll out.

Plant Facility Electrical Engineer that supported the plants
automation system, which was comprised of Rockwell Automation
Process Logix Distributive Control System, Control Logix
Programmable Logic Controllers, and multiple foreign vendor
controllers. Made modifications, small additions, and provided
support for both hardware and software for all of these systems.
Maintained operator interface terminal software applications
utilizing WonderWare, Panel Builder, and Display Builder Software.
Supported plant electrical systems from 480V 3 phase substations
down to individual field devices.
Managed capital and expense projects. Supported automation
engineering design, budget control, installation, and startup of
approved projects; responsible for cost, quality and operation of
assigned projects within assigned time periods. Ensured

Maintenance Department to ensure adequate spare parts inventories
and preventive maintenance schedules were communicated or provided.
Led a task team comprised of one electrical tech and two mechanics
in the packaging department. Made several improvement
modifications to a liquid dosing filling machine, bag packer
machine, flow wrapper machine, carton machine, and blast freeze: in
order to improve overall equipment efficiency. Was able to improve
efficiency from 48% to 60% percent in three months. The
modifications, which included visual management, helped change over
time improve for 1.5 hours to 20 minutes, and enabled the operation
efficiency to reach 70% in the first hour after a changeover.
Designed and built an automatic bucket-filling machine that allowed
the operators to fill 12 5gallon buckets on a pallet at one.
Previously the operators were filling one bucket at a time,
weighing them, and hand stacking them on a pallet.
