Professional Experience:
Ms. Parikh has over 6 years of electrical engineering experience in the
areas of lighting design and power distribution including field surveys,
interdisciplinary coordination, energy calculations, and incoming
utilities. Her projects include retail stores, fast food facilities,
transportation maintenance shops, fueling facilities, correctional
facilities and schools. With excellent communication skills she works
closely with project managers to develop the design criteria, and on-time
delivery of construction documents. Ms. Parikh has experience in

Design Engineer
Responsibilities: Review existing conditions and scope of work to
formulate solutions to resolve engineering problems. Select and design the
type of lights, electrical equipments and provide power to all retail K-
mart and Sears stores nationwide. Apply latest National Electric Code
(NEC) based on city requirements and respond to the city comments in
appropriate manner. Scope of work varies from Sears Outlet Stores, Sears
Home Appliances Showroom, Sears Auto Center, K-mart Pharmacy, and MyGofer
along with Mega stores and departmental changes. Manage work load
distribution, investigate problems, recommend solutions and coordinate with
other disciplinarians. Implement departmental decisions, guidance, laws,
regulations, and policy in development of projects.
Carter and Burgess (Now Jacobs); Santa Ana, CA (2005 - 2007):
Electrical Design Engineer
Responsibilities: Participated in design and preparation of construction
documents for domestic commercial building projects. Coordinated with multi-
disciplinary teams to resolve complex design related problems. Participated
in research of applicable NEC codes for electrical design. Typical project
assignments included retail stores of Pizza Hut, Cingular Wireless and CVS
Pharmacy. Tasks included service upgrades, design lighting load and power
load, develop single line diagrams, site surveys, project meetings, and
RFI's. Worked on facilities projects, tenant improvements, rental agency
car facility, and development centers.
Key Project: Participated in providing services for one of the largest bus
maintenance projects for Las Vegas, Nevada.
J.C. Chang and Associates; Torrance, CA (2004 - 2005):
Electrical Design Engineer
Responsibilities: Designed lighting and power distribution systems
including feeder size, voltage drop, short circuit calculations, and panel
schedules using Excel spread sheet programs. Projects included designing
public address, and computer networking for LAUSD schools and Jails.
Key Project: Performed field surveys for US Penitentiary in Atlanta Georgia
for existing conditions to obtain power recordings of selected distribution
equipment for load analysis.
Wold Architects and Engineers; Elgin, IL (2002 - 2003):
Electrical Design Engineer
Responsibilities: Prepared electrical drawings for newly assigned projects,
mainly Schools and Jails. Conducted lighting load, power distribution load,
calculated wire and conduit sizes for numerous projects. Performed field
surveys of existing conditions and applied to new scope of work.
Key Project: Assisted senior engineer in developing electrical design for
Huntley Middle School (New construction).
