Dear Madam or Sir:
Please accept this letter as a formal application for the medical device position
advertised on indeed.com. Beginning nine years ago, I have gained vast experience in the
fitness industry that includes Clinical Exercise Physiology education background, teaching
in physical education and health, personal training, and as a group fitness instructor.
I have extensive knowledge and experience with cardiac, pulmonary, and metabolic
monitoring, testing, and assessing, respectively. In addition, I have experience in graded exercise
testing, exercise prescription, evaluation of muscular strength and endurance, body composition
and nutritional analysis, and fitness counseling. I have certifications in CPR, personal training,
aerobics, and yoga. I anticipate receiving my Clinical Exercise Specialist certification in August.
Also, I am an athlete. During my military tour, I engaged in many cardiovascular
conditioning activities, including running, swimming, and weight-lifting. More recently, I have
competed in marathons and triathlons, and trained in kick-boxing. I have experience in the use of
personal and mainframe computing. I have used word processing, spreadsheets, databases,
desktop publishing, packaged fitness software, and electronic mail.
I understand that company is a very professional organization. Knowing your company
works with people from all different backgrounds and health problems, I believe my experience,
education, my athletic life style, and ability to learn new things and apply new concepts would be
benefit to your company. I work well with people from all different backgrounds and would love
to continue to work with this diversity within your company.
Thank you for your consideration. You may contact me via cell phone 717-***-****) or

Very truly yours,
Philip Eberts
