diverse departments encompassing 9,222 square miles with over 2,000+ pieces
of on road / off road equipment. Plans, organizes and directs the
maintenance, repair, and fueling of County vehicles / heavy construction
equipment. Directs the development and administration of the department
budget (9 million +), long range plans for equipment requirements including
acquisition and disposal, writing of bid specifications, review of bid
tabulations, and the awarding of contracts. Responsible for maintaining
effective safety program, adherence to Federal / state legislative mandates
relative to environmental issues and Title 49 / Title 29 / Title 7
compliance.

Responsible for P&L, hiring /termination actions, training, cash
collections /bank deposits and the daily operation of charter / line bus /
hotel reservation companies, with 40+ employees providing mechanical
maintenance support / full service to an array of customers / companies
arriving When the companies were merged, I was asked to close the facility,
oversee the merger actions / be in charge of operations, move into a
smaller facility until new facility construction completed, and all
related operational activities to include Title 49 /29 compliance, while
maintaining service standards. Merger involved 110+ buses, 300+ employees,
and operating as destination center for other COACH USA companies in
"America's Play land.
