Assistant Quality Engineer
Defense organization,
Indian Institute of Science, India
Sep. 2006 - Feb.2008
Worked as Intern where I obtained training and experience
in managing equipment installation checks and validations
on new equipments and creating an effective filing system
to retain equipment validation and calibration data.

Academic Projects and Presentations
Solving Pure IP Problems applied to Apple iPod
University of New Haven, CT
Oct. 2008 - Nov.2008
This research demonstrates the application of the branch-
and-bound technique to a pure integer programming (IP) problem
for real time data of the iPod . I used two models 8-gigabyte (GB)
iPod Nano and 32 GB iPod Touch . My main focus was on Gross profit
margin and Operating Expenses which include labor,
marketing, and research and development (R&D) costs. I
used Branch and bound technique and Forecast error from Operational
Research to reduce errors in inventory estimation, reduce
inventory costs and improve delivery to customers using real
time data provided in the Apple Inc.'s Annual Report for fiscal year
2008.
Life cycle cost analysis on Gas v/s Hybrid in cars
University of New Haven, CT
May. 2008 - June.2008
This paper involves in comparison between two vehicles
Honda Civic Hybrid and Honda Civic Gas which was
modeled for analysis. I did life cycle assessment for 10 years by
comparing both the model. I used spreadsheet which included
Lean concept and Supply chain management.
Multimodal Biometric Identification System
Atria Institute of Technology, India
April. 2006 - Jun.2006
This paper presents a system called BioID. The system
acquires (records), preprocesses, and classifies each
biometric feature separately. I reviewed papers written by many authors
and made complete survey of the working of this concept and
analyzed higher the security level, higher would be false-
rejection rate. I used Multimodal Identification concept where BioID
guarantees a high degree of security from falsification and
unauthorized access.
Generation and Controlling of Plasma Arc Radiation
Indian Institute of Science, India
Sep. 2006 - Mar.2007
This Project involves in creating a potential difference
between cathode-anode terminals of plasma arc generator by
controlling the input voltage. I designed a circuit board by making use of
PIC 16f876/77 microcontroller as front end and device
programmer such as MPLAB IDE and IC PROG as a back end for
controlling the firing angle, phase, amplitude of power device making the
plasma cartridge to trigger at specified time.
