Summary of I have extensive experience with hardware repairs down to

Qualificati component level and assembly level along with software in

ons support of Associated Press news gathering. For example, Leaf

Systems photograph scanners, newsphoto transmission and

receiving equipment.

Much on-site repair experience for AP designed and/or

specified equipment such as electronic data selectors,

satellite down converters, scanners and card readers. Attended

week long training at Tandy and at Leaf systems multiple

times. Also utilized for training of newly hired technicians

on photo receiving systems, computers, scanners, satellite,

and data- handling equipment.

ons Along with all the proprietary AP equipment, also provided

desktop and laptop computer support and repair for PC and

Apple systems. Involved was warranty repair, trouble

diagnosis, parts sourcing and ordering. Separated due to

workforce reduction.

In addition I have spent four months working at a solar panel

production facility. My responsibilities there were to

maintain and repair the equipment utilized to produce the

panels. This ranged from glass preparation equipment to

machines used to put the layers of material on the glass to

make the solar cells. Separated recently due to lack of work.

A+ Certified, FCC General Class License. Certified for Toshiba

laptops and Dell certified for laptops, desktops,

workstations, and servers while at AP.

Skills capacitance test equipment, Provided phone troubleshooting

support (both hardware and software) on AP equipment to field

adjustment of new image scanning and transmission equipment.
