Centsible Calling is value added telecommunications service provider for
the international and domestic long distance markets, operating via a
network of agents and resellers throughout North America.
RESPONSIBILITIES
. Responsible for the design, development and implementation of the
company's internal, external, agent and reseller web sites while
ensuring best practices utilizing ASP and ASP.net (VB and C#).
Migrated original ASP applications to ASP.NET. Designed, developed,
optimized and maintained SQL Server databases to back end the
applications. Helped ensure web server, database and firewall security
was fully implemented for PCI compliance.
. Designed and developed company's sales and marketing database
reporting system in ASP.NET (VB and C#) and SQL Server. Designed and
developed SQL Server databases, stored procedures and views and
utilized SQL reporting services. Managed the company's online
marketing efforts. Built relationships with marketing partners and
kept company's pay per click marketing budget working. Completed an
ambitious SEO program designed to put the company among the top in the
organic search engine listings. When fully implemented this will save

. Designed, developed and implemented a state of the art credit card
verification system (CCVS) linked to customer service. This system has
enabled the company to virtually eliminate credit card fraud and
associated charge backs. The CCVS also empowers the customer service
staff to significantly reduce the amount of time needed to verify any
new customer credit card information. The system was built by
integrating ASP and ASP.NET with 3rd party web services including
Verisign (Paypal) payment gateway and other fraud detection API.

Based in Melville, NY, Sbarro is one of the world's leading Italian quick
service restaurant concept and the largest shopping mall focused restaurant
concept in the world with more than 1,000 locations across 42 countries.
RESPONSIBILITIES
. Designed, developed and maintained the Franchise Executive Information
Systems (EIS) for corporate location. The franchise EIS enabled
international locations to report sales information real time and
handled exchange rate conversion automatically thus dramatically
reducing the need for mailing and faxing of paper work and data entry
at the corporate level. Systems built on ASP, Coldfusion and ASP.net
against SQL Server back end. System was used by various levels of
upper management within the company and enabled franchise execs to
monitor sales trends and act on delinquencies in a timely manner.
. Designed, developed and maintained the Corporate Executive Information
Systems (EIS) for corporate location. The corporate EIS was designed
to enable executives to easily view sales, expenses, and net income
comparisons and trends across several years. Reporting included
weekly, bi-weekly and period comparative sales analysis. Systems built
on Powerbuilder against SQL Server, Access and Foxpro back ends.
Migrated and integrated data into SQL Server from external data
sources.
. Built and maintained company's public web site. Configured and managed
the web server and databases at the back end. Maintained web site and
server security. Assisted network staff with any firewall rules that
were necessary for security of web server within the DMZ.
. Led and assisted in the conversion and migration of the old POS back
end and front end functionalities and data into the design of the new
POS system. Built several DTS packages to help facilitate the process
of getting data from different sources such AS400, Foxpro and text
files into SQL Server. Created several web interfaces to streamline
the conversion and rollout of new POS.
. Worked closely with all levels of management, VPs, regional directors
and store managers and personnel to gather information and input
necessary to build the specifications for the company's first POS.
When implemented, the POS we planned and designed helped to save the
company approximately $5 million in food and payroll costs in its
first year alone.
. Built and maintained the original proprietary POS system for the
company. This was done when the company operated approximately 500
stores nationwide and had no prior system in place. Created several
POS modules including item, inventory, payroll and extensive reporting
at the back end and menu, pricing and punching in/out and other
cashier functionality at the front end.
. Helped network staff create and maintain POS back end file and data
transfer routines from store locations to corporate servers and AS400.
Most of this done via FTP and scripting.
. Created and maintained secure and automated FTP scripts to facilitate
the communication of HR benefit and other information to and from
Sbarro corporate office.
. Provided reliable support and formal and informal training to the POS
Help Desk department and field personnel when necessary. Assisted with
numerous grand openings and store conversions to ensure successful
implementation.
