MX Engineer

During my Job in IBM I did test planning, creation of test cases, test

execution, test matrix, creation of defect report, tracking to defects,

defending defects with development team, documentation. I have knowledge

about all test cycles.

Focal Point (People Management)

I was focal point in Guadalajara for a part of functionality of Director 6.1

in fvt (functionality verification test) phase, working together with the

Raleigh (North of Caroline) team. Getting experience in the management team.

System X in IBM

I have done functionality tests to Director 6.1 platforms X, almost for all

functions. One of these functions is for example Status Manager, the tests

consist in to verify that Director 6.1 can receive and report events. The

kind of events are: temperature events, voltage events, fan events, power

supply events, event log full events, bluelight events, hard disk storage

events and network communication events.

GVT (globalization Verification Test)

I have done GVT testing for Director 6.1, the GVT tests consist in to verify

that all Director Functions are translated and is supported in several

languages and is ready to be used in the different cultures, like for

example: English, Spanish, French, German, Chinese, Japanese, Portuguese,

Korean and Italian.

AEM (Active Energy Manager)

I have done functionality AEM tests for Director 6.1. AEM is a Director

extention his purpose is manage and monitoring the control of energy in all

systems (blades, system x, systems p, nodes, etc.) that are discovered or

managed in the server system. Some tasks are for example voltage control,

voltage peak, power saving, power capping, etc.

System P in IBM

I have done functionality tests to Director 6.1 for systems P, the function

tested is Inventory and consist in to verify that Director can discover

others systems using IP address and can detect other systems with the

different Director versions installed. Also status manager (explained in

system x). The functions were tested on AIX server.

LAB

Also I have worked in the installation and configuration of different SOs

like for example: Windows 2003 server, Windows 2008 server, Sles 10U1 and

RedHat 4.5. I have helped in the network configuration in the Guadalajara

Lab. I have worked in the security for Guadalajara lab keeping all systems

updated also taking security evidences in all systems. Knowledge in network

devices and network configurations.
