Developing and executing high impact improvements, I offer a record of
accomplishment in the competitive and demanding environment of Fortune 500
Hewlett Packard. I increased operational efficiencies, implemented
technology initiatives, controlled project costs / time-frames, and
successfully supported new corporate objectives.
A skilled leader and trainer, I managed budgets to $35M and held ultimate
accountability for up to 700 technical, operational and administrative
personnel. I led large scale, mission-critical IT and operational projects

I hold an MBA, concentration in Management Information Systems, from the
University of Houston. My undergraduate degree is a BS in Electrical
Engineering from Escola de Engenharia Maua in Brazil. I am a Project
Management Professional, Program Management Institute, and fluent in
English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Selected Accomplishments
Served key role in HP / EDS integration. Charged with merging and defining
business processes in sales, delivery and quality for integration that
began in 2008. Completed comprehensive project within strict time
guidelines and achieved $120M reduction in costs by eliminating 900
positions and better use of shared personnel.
Improved control and monitoring of business unit financials. Outsourcing
Services Business Unit missed goals in both revenue and margin in first
half of 2008. Led team that developed plan to enable closer visibility of
unit's financials. Triggered critical actions based on data provided and
unit achieved second half target numbers.
Developed guideline for sales of outsourcing services. Following EDS
integration, two outsourcing sales organizations had different processes
and more uniformity was needed. Worked with EDS counterparts and developed
effective and cost saving uniform process, with focus on the approval of
deals and release of proposals.
Created plan to reduce operational costs. New plan was needed to offset
declining profit at Outsourcing Services Business Unit. Led team in
creating business case scenario for establishing Business Continuity
Services Data Center in low cost location - Costa Rica. HP built center,
achieving 27% margin and $10M annual revenue.
Launched Program Management Office. With the rapid growth of the IT
Outsourcing organization, additional support was needed. Managed all
aspects of putting in place a Program Management Office (PMO). Enabled IT
outsourcing to grow from $1M / year to $134M / year including 144 contracts
in ten countries.
Career History
Business Unit Director, Outsourcing Services, Hewlett Packard Corp., 2008
to Present. Lead integration of Outsourcing Services Business Unit in
multiple countries with newly acquired EDS organization, while maintaining
service levels of existing customers. Control $35M budget/700 personnel.
Manage P&L of legacy HP organization.
Business Operations Director, Hewlett Packard Corp., 2001 to 2008. Managed
day-to-day operations of Outsourcing Services Business Organization.
Ensured pursuit and delivery of quality services per service level
agreements and financial results. Prepared and implemented organization's
business and operational plans.
World Wide Program Director, Compaq Computer Corp., 1997 to 2000.
Implemented corporate system for shop floor data collection in 11
manufacturing plants across five countries. Planned and executed
engineering and manufacturing training. Created reporting systems
providing real time reports on factory metrics.
