Plant / Production Manager

Planned, Implemented and Managed a Satellite operation for Heritage

Hardwoods of Kentucky.

. Planned and implemented all aspects of a Veneer Manufacturing

Process from business location, leasing of building, business

permits, facility and machinery layout, crewing and operation.

. Handled all aspects of maintenance, PIC, purchasing, engineering,

human resources, and quality control.

Managed employees to meet small quantity 36 hour lead time, 100%

ship on time daily schedules for a 99.7% customer quality audit.

Conducted all Customer service duties.

Supervisor, Plant #43, Hildebran, NC and Plant #60, Morganton, NC

Managed 45 employees in the Finish Machine Room (Plant #43).

. Increased efficiencies from 104% to 120% by cross-training

employees.

. Increased production of Machine Room so it averaged a five case

buffer ahead of the Cabinet Room, which averaged $120,000 per day

production.

Managed 28 employees in the Glue Room (Plant #60). Processed all

laminate veneered panels.

. Developed and implemented a new scheduling system increasing

"Performance to Schedule" from an average of 91% to 100% through.

. Cross-trained employees, which contributed to increasing the

Quality Audit, scores from 92% to 98%.

Managed 42 employees in the Veneer Face Department (Plant #60).

Educated employees on standard hours and business costs which resulted

in the following:

. Established a scheduling system for incoming veneers reducing

inventory by 23% or $300,000.

. Reduced staffing by 16%, and increased labor efficiencies by 32%

from an average of 88% to 130%.

. Graded/Purchased veneers; reduced Material Usage 135%, from a

$62,000 loss to a $21,000 gain.

Engineering and Training

Senior Manufacturing Engineer

Implemented capital projects in the plant.

. Developed the "New Employee Orientation" 80-hour program and

manual, which enabled hands-on training prior to entering the

production environment. Responsible for process improvement

. Drafted written and visual ISO documentation (Work Instructions,

Manufacturing Specifications and Control Plans) for various

processes and machinery meeting corporate requirements.

. Created a standardization training manual and led the Surface

Preparation Wood Division Technical Team in standardizing processes

within the division resulting in an efficient product transfer.

. Implemented and developed Preventative maintenance training program

for a Focus Factory which reduced Machine Downtime. Adjusted Plant

various industrial engineering and cost saving projects such as

departmental layouts, time and motion studies, and capacity

studies.

. Conducted yield study on incoming veneer, resulting in a savings of

$225,000 per year.

. Managed Profit and Loss statement for the entire plant focusing on

Professional Sales Representative

. Managed Asheville East Territory while calling on customers which

included Allergists, Family Practices, Internal Medicine, Walk-In

Clinics, Urgent Care, Dermatologist, Pediatric and Emergency Room

facilities with four products. Conducted Speaker Programs and

Lunch and Learn Programs to promote products.

. Developed business plans to focus on top providers for each product

while exceeding contractual goals.

. Effectively managed inventory and monthly reporting with minimal to

Orthopaedic Sales / Service Representative

. Organized and managed Doctor Call Books, Pharmacy notebooks, DEA

certificates and Doctor Request Forms.

of 27 Doctors and 18 Pharmacies. Weekly average ranging from 75 to

95 Physicians with a 90% sampling rate. Two weeks of 100+ Physician

. Documentation and Paperwork at 99% accuracy rate. Only one paper

work mistake in '05 and '06 calendar year.

consultant in 1st quarter '06.
